Surely, Everton could have done well to keep hold of all their strikers looking as how they can't score to save their lives?

They look to have signed Jelavic, which is a great signing, imo. Saha has been crap anyway, they need the money if they're going to try and find someone else.

Also, word is they'll be taking Adam Johnson on loan.

Jelavic is a good signing for Everton. He can play and is suited to the English game.

12:37 p.m. ET — Canada Olympic pool defender Fabrice Lassonde is hoping to seal a deal to join German Regionalliga Süd outfit Hessen Kassel today, having auditioned for the club the last several days. The 22-year-old was most recently with Ingolstadt.(GS)

12:30 p.m. ET — Puebla's DaMarcus Beasley has received an offer from a French club, believed to be Nancy, MLSsoccer.com has learned. The deal is on the table for the 29-year-old former Chicago Fire player, although Puebla are thought to be unlikely to accept the offer for a player they only signed last summer. Puebla's season has been hampered by problems paying the players and with Mexico's tax authorities. (Tom Marshall)

12:24 p.m. ET — Canada striker Gavin McCallum is now a free agent after ending his Lincoln City deal by mutual consent. (GS)

11:14 a.m. ET — The morning, papers in Spain were awash with reports that Schalke strike star Raúl has a big MLS offer to arrive this summer. The veteran hit man will go free then, but according to Marca, the Miners are working on getting him signed to an extension. (GS)

How come German news didn't catch anything about that?

Bayern released a statement on their website saying they were about to announce a "bomb" signing of world class that would complement Mario Gomez perfectly within the hour. It turned out to be some ridiculous marketing thing. If there was nothing in the German media, it was probably because they knew what was up already. The internetz were going crazy speculating whether it was Tevez, Drogba, or Berbatov for a while. So much so that their website briefly crashed.

Munich's big signing are always only in the summer transfer market.

Seems 99.9% sure. Transfer makes sense for FCB: the Munich midfield is the most underperforming part of their squad.

Yeah, their midfield isn't doing too well right now. Müller still has the 2010 wc hangover, Schweinsteiger back from injury isn't the old one. Robben neither. Ribery has been a beast in the first leg but when he's the only consistent guy Munich is very easy to figure out. Kroos is only a great player when the others play great, too. Not a difference maker. They're terribly out of rhythm right now.

Rumour in The Sun (so it can almost certainly be disregarded) today that Chelsea want Theo Walcott and might offer Daniel Sturridge in a swap deal. Forgive me if I am wrong, but hasn't Sturridge been one of Chelsea's few bright spots? While Walcott has been a major disappointment this year.

If I'm Arsenal I bite Chelsea's hand off for that deal.

Yeah if I'm Chelsea, there's no way I would make that deal. Sturridge has been one of the few dangerous players in the last third of the pitch, and if anything has been underutilized. It would be a shame to see them give up on him at this point.

If Tottenham ends up with both Vertonghen and Hazard this summer, i am going to become an insufferable jackass. I'm just warning everybody. :D

Rumor in Colombia is that Man U is keeping an eye on Porto's James Rodriguez. He is only 20 years old, but he has massive potential.

I think he has a lot of potential. He's not very fast, but he can score, his crossings are awesome, great passes in general. Here in FCPorto he plays most of the games left side, but it's possible that he can be even better on the center, like Mata for example.

That would a near impossible team to stop, I would actually take that team over City.

Now just pray that Harry stays :D
