Re: 2011
But what I'm trying to talk about is the principle, at the end of the day try tried to deal with it and move on with a handshake, fair enough Suarez was punished but a handshake is a handshake. One thing that annoyed me about Blatters comment was that he said to move on during the match which is outrageous. But that doesn't matter, a handshake the next minute isn't different from a handshake 2 weeks from now. That's all I've been saying this whole time, I'm not trying to defend Suarez or sympathise with Evra. It wouldn't have mattered because a handshake is what it is.
But would you really forget though? There's no doubt in my mind you would forgive them and be a professional about it, but would you actually see yourself being friends with that person? Cpuld you honestly say you would forget that this person racially abused you? Lets even say that hea denying he did anything wrong to make it closer to the situation. I think it's safe to say that even if they did shake hands, Evra would still despise Suarez and I don't blame him. Thats all I've been saying all along, the handshake was pointless because the damage has been done when Suarez said those things, my main problem is the overreaction of everybody

Re: 2011
It's just a sample but Chelsea's 12/13 shirt is supposed to look something like this with gold stripes:

I guess it's not that bad although I don't think they should mess with the badge. It's probably the worst time to be using gold too considering the state of the club. But hey, it's better than the pajama kit United are going to wear.

Re: 2011
I guess this is the preferred starting lineup for Chelsea (no Meireles, Bosingwa, Torres) these days but they haven't been able to finish. Not much spark shown by the team, but they've had plenty of opportunities. I believe they've already had 10 corners in the first half.

Re: 2011
i really cant stand tony gale. every time he announces chelsea he spends the entire game trashing luiz. today is no different. he spent the entire half criticizing luiz, who was probably the best chelsea player in the 1st. he defended well and hit at least 4 great balls to the forwards, probably another 3 that were questionable offsides that could have counted. and then luiz scores a beauty of a goal in the 2nd. we all know luiz has made some awful mistakes this year, most at the early part of the year, but you can say that about any central defender. chelsea's midfield is the problem this year (and bosingwa) yet its luiz and the forwards who get most of the blame.
i still would love to see luiz in the midfield one day.
oh yeah, can we find someone who can take a proper corner?

Re: 2011
Miyachi had no business starting this game ahead of Eagles and that striker who dived is just so crap its not even funny. Couldn't we loan Macheda to Bolton instead?
Nice game by Luiz though, he had minimal threat to deal with at the back but he's likely the most composed Chelsea player with the ball at his feet.

Re: 2011
See what happens when we don't play the terrible three? Like 5DOM said this should be our lineup against Napoli if we want to stand a chance or if JT is back bring him on for Cahill.
Essien was absolutely immense today, god to see he played the whole game unscated. As well as our defence played today I think that was more because of Essien cleaning up and playing the holding role immensely. Now here's to hoping he stays fit for the rest of the season because by god are we gonna need him.
