I'm sorry. Put Watson in the equation as well and the answer is still the same.

Is it hard to believe that they could later flip Pau for someone like Monta? A report surfaced earlier that the Wolves were interested in doing a deal around Derrick Williams for Pau, is that hard to believe that a Beasley/Williams/Barea deal is something that actually ends up happening?

I'm doubtful it happens and pretty skeptical of the source but if it did happen it wouldn't be total blasphemy.

I think you have me confused with a different poster (regarding Gasol). Most Bulls fans understand that any deal would most likely have to be part of a 3-team deal and at the leat would involve the Cat's pick as well. Some Bulls fans would not do it (being that the Bulls are pretty good as is), but that does not mean they are not aware of the cost (they just don't think the price is "worth" it to disrupt the current team.....which is a valid point).

As for Minny flipping Gasol for Ellis......maybe the Lakers should do it and run Ellis at PG? Well?

Yes, Gasol is indeed a better player than Pek, but Minny would be much better served using some of those assets for a younger SG.

bigs get you far in the playoffs.

Btw Jason Richardson to the Wolves

Rubio/Ridnour
J-Rich/Lee
Wesley/Webster
Love/Tolliver
Gasol/Pek

for Webster+Brad Miller+Malcolm Lee

for Jason Richardson?

if so Don't see why the Wolves won't accept that.

Marshon Brooks is better than Derick Williams by far, Brooks Lopez and LOTTERY pick in a loaded draft is better than Bynum by far, Houston's pick is better than LA's or Minnys pick, and Humpy Kardassian and Memet Okur are just bonus expirings. Nj's deal is faaaar better than this for Orlando.

What you fail to realize is that NJ as presently constituted isn't that far out of the playoffs, what 6 1/2 games? Trading Dwight to NJ in like a week gives NJ plenty of time to make the playoffs. Which I think they do if they trade him to NJ before the deadline. Then you're left with Bynum/Williams/LAL + DAL 1st/TPE to absorb their bad contracts vs. Lopez/Brooks/2 mid 1sts. And how exactly do you know that Brooks is "far better" than Williams when Williams is relegated to coming off the bench in favor of one Kevin Love.

It makes sense for Orlando to deal Dwight to NJ during draft night so they can get all you mentioned, unfortunately I don't think Dwight will opt in to the final year of his deal for them to do so.

I may have, there were so many Bulls avatars that bombarded the Lakers board that I don't even who was who. And how does a trade between LAL/GSW help in getting Dwight?

He'd fit quite well, actually. He always played off the ball when he first came into the league and played with Baron Davis, and has no trouble doing so now when Curry's playing at point. However, if it comes to a trade for Ellis, I think that the Warriors would like a big man in exchange. If Minny were to pull off the proposed Gasol trade, perhaps an Ellis/Pekovic swap would work afterwards? The Wolves would get a great scorer and the Warriors would finally get a solid center to play alongside Lee.

And as for the proposed Ellis/Gasol trade that someone mentioned, I'm not sure the Warriors would bite, because they're leery of Pau's age (33, I think?), although his talent level and ability to fill a hole in the offense would likely get them to take a look.

It appears a lot of posters are completely unaware of the job Pekovic has been doing for the Wolves lately. What the Wolves need more than someone like Gasol who cannot play together with Love and Pekovic at the same time is a consistent scoring 2 or 3 player. Beasley can look like a superstar one game and a chump the next. No consistency, but the potential remains. Barea is valuable coming off the bench, especially the last game. Ridnour will never be better than a small combo guard who can be valuable in a limited role. J.R. Smith would have helped the Wolves immensely, but he went to the Knicks. The Wolves are young enough that they can wait a year for the development of Williams and hopefully sign a good 2. They're scoring more points than they're giving up and could actually be several games above .500. I'd say if they're in the same position next year at this time, then they'd be open for a major deal as long as it doesn't involve Rubio, Love, or Pekovic. Yes, Pekovic looks that good. And I'm a Bucks fans, not a Wolves fan.

Find a three-team trade that nets the Warriors a decent center and I'm sure they'd send Ellis to Minnesota.

terrible trade for the Lakers...

that's essentially Gasol and Bynum both for Dwight... and the Lakers supposedly said they weren't going to do that...

to those thinking Beasley and Barrea help... Beasley is playing out of position, he can't guard natural SFs... sadly he can't guard PFs either but regardless, he's not the answer for LA at the 3... and Barrea is a good backup pg, but you're crazy if you think he's the answer for the Laker's pg hole...

also, not crazy about this trade for Minny either... Gasol is very good, but declining and Minny is a young team... this just doesnt seem like a move for a young team trying to be a title contender in upcoming years...

as for Orlando, they make out like a bandit considering their lack of percieved leverage...

They may have said that, but might've changed their minds after what they've gone through thus far this season. It's not as if proclamations like that are set in stone. What's more, they did that assuming that Dwight would try forcing a trade by claiming that he'd only play for the Lakers, and that's not happening. I say why not swing for the fences? It's worked for them before.

Cant say I really want Ellis on the wolves. I think Rubio and Ellis is a real poor fit considering that Ellis is really quite ball dominant and pretty small for a sg. What the wolves need in a sg is a younger version of Richard Hamilton or Ray Allen. Guys who move well without the ball, coming off screens for jumpers and hitting spot up shots.

Stop, just stop. This trade is absolutely terrible for the wolves. Wh the hell are we giving up Pekovic for Martin? I didnt like original trade to begin with, but this is even worse

Why would the Rockets trade Kevin Martin? They basically get worse in this trade and probably won't even make the playoffs

No it isnt. After this trade the wolves have no bench and no cap space to make any moves. Kmart doesnt play D and is playing much worse after the Martin/Durant rule change. The dude doesnt even play 35+ minutes consistently on the Rockets team.

As for Gasol, eh. the dude is putting up what, like 17 and 9 on average efficiency and average defense? Superstar numbers right there! Im sorry, but the dude is starting to decline and will continue to do so, and Considering that he is 31 years old and makes 20 million, that really isnt worth it to me at all. Id much rather role with Pek and use our assets and cap space to sign a wing or two
