lololol there comes a time where you dont have to look at stats to compare two players you have to actually watch them play but when it comes to saying Derrick Williams is better then Marshon this season that is clearly laughable seeing how Marshon avg double the points and more rebounds lulz

I guess it's not the right time.

You should also be able to see that they are in two completely different circumstances--one on a lottery team, the other on a playoff contender.

Turkoglu would need to move in this deal as well, and the Magic would need more in return.

the front court is becoming less and less of a strength and trading Gasol and Bynum both would be a knockout blow to any short term chance of winning the title for L.A....

ahh no, Magic will do better with Marshon Brooks+humphries+lopez+first round picks that can draft players that this team needs rather then some Andrew (Bad Knees) Bynum and some Derrick Williams SF/PF type player who has an upside but it ain't much, oh and his plays are wack and boring. Marshon Brooks brings an exciting to watch player who is gonna get better since his IQ is great for a rookie, 1st round picks from houston as well will bring players from Draft that we need to fill in our positions. Isn't this an old "rumour?" Either way, Im not sure how many times Minny fans have to say no to any Gasol trade. They just don't want him because his contract is too big.

It seems like Minny is giving up a little too much here just for an aging Pau. I get that Derek Williams isn't producing yet, but it seems hard to imagine this is the best they can do. Then again, it is Kahn...

I didn't think the nets package was the best, but then you types in caps and I was convinced. Great argument with dwills plays being "whack and boring"

that is why I think Jason Richardson might be added if this deal is serious.

NETS PACKAGE IS BEST FOR MAGIC

trust me it is the best package. We would gut out the Nets team so that way Dwight Howard and Deron Williams will struggle to stay on top of things for years to come. They won't have much assets to get any better then what they will be receiving from Dwight Howard and co. Now, I know we are not getting any superstar in return, but getting Marshon brooks+Lopez+Humphries and 1st rounders for Dwight+Jrich+Turk+will help the Magic start their rebuilding process.

this season after trade

PG: Nelson/Duhan Draft (Kendall Marshall)
SG: Reddick/Marshon/Wafer
SF: Qrich/ Liggins Draft (Michael Kidd-Gilchrist)
PF: Anderson/Humphries/ Clerk
C: Lopez/ BBD

We can upgrade our PG depth with Kendall Marshall who will be a true pg that this team been needing for a while. Then we add Michael Kidd-Gilchrist for a lockdown defender that he is in SF position, great for us. SG will be upgraded and set with Marshon and reddick. PF positions will be straight with Anderson and Humphries for rebounds, and Center position is the one that can trouble us, but that can work out once Andrew Bynum becomes available and we can pick him up because we will have cap space for him.. 2 years from now it be..

PG: Kendall Marshall/backup (Nelson probably be gone by then)
SG: Marshon/Reddick
SF: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist/backup
PF: Anderson or Humphries (one of them probably be gone by then)
C: Andrew Bynum..

So there you have it, Marshon Brooks will be a star, Andrew an all star center, Michael a lockdown defender,Kendall Marshall A TRUE PG, and Anderson for hic crazy threes...

Fantasy yea i know but it can be a reality if all cards are played right.

wow the article emphasizes the word rumor like a mofo and this thread is debating like it's an actual possibility. Beasly and Barea for Pau?

dictionary: Rumor- Khan to Mitch hey what do you think of Howard, Beasly, and Barea for Pau and Bynum?
Mitch: Knickerbocker please!
Hanger-on to reporters: done deal print it.

Good deal for the Lakers. Good deal for the Wolves because Pau is exactly what that team needs right now.

Bad deal for the Magic I think. They don't shed any bad contracts. Derrick Williams is unproven and hasn't been that impressive so far. Bynum is good. But the Magic would need picks to make this deal make sense. 2012 picks too. And Hedo going to one of those teams.

Good deal for the Lakers though.

And I'd love for Howard to go West and sign a long term deal with a team with an aging Kobe Bryant, and no Bynum or Gasol.

I mean aren't Laker fans a little worried about their PF spot now? I guess they still have that TPE, right? Maybe use that to go get a serviceable 4?

Not a bad trade I don't think. I would think if this happens then the Nets trade Deron to the Mavs almost immediately.

not...gonna...happen

this is a respectable deal for the magic as-is. throw a hedo poison pill into the mix and don't expect the receiving team to swallow. and then you think MORE assets on top are necessary? if so, hello free agency
