I see Barnes as a slightly better version of All-Star Luol Deng

The Luol Deng comparison is as accurate as the Grant Hill comparison, neither are even close. Danny Granger/Jamal Mashburn are the best comparisons made to this point.

He doesnt have the handle and the fluidity has an athlete to create like Granger does, or the real Grant Hill used to do.

He is more the robotic type, robotic like Deng

Deng is a laughably bad comparison and anyone who's watched both of them play a lot will realize it. Just because they're both dark skinned black dudes doesn't make their game similar. However, Harrison is almost a carbon copy of Jamal Mashburn on the court, right down to the skin tone.[/quote]

Jamal Mashburn was better offensive player, better passer and better scorer, but Mashburn wasn't known as defender like Barnes is ...

Ezeli looks better than any C we have on this team.

It's a block party for Anthony Davis.
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

Like arguing with you Marlo but comparing him to Mash is not a good one.

Monster Mash (as he was my first favourite player in the NBA) had the handle, the Big body/Power, the fluid moves to dominate.

Barnes will never have Mash's handle which will limit his effectiveness offensively, he will still score close to the 20ppg but I just doesnt have the game/handle to be a 25+ per game in the game.

Keep in mind, I do want us to draft Barnes

Just like Deng, those 2 are great catch-a-shooters at that position, they can create off the dribble only against a certain type of competition but have a tougher time creating vs the top level SF.

I cant see a better comparison.

P.s so yeah "slightly" more than just dark skin

I have a feeling Ezeli is going to be one of the steals of the draft.

People need to learn how to quote

That's why it's a comparison, not a twin. It's just to give people an idea of who he plays like if he were in the NBA. There has been no closer comparison for Harrison Barnes than Danny Granger, or better yet Jamal Mashburn.

Nice reverse lay-up by Jeff Taylor to avoid Anthony Davis.

Vanderbilt has at least 2-3 mid to late 1st round picks and I hope we draft 1 of them.

Mash and Granger are/were both explosive scorer, Barnes isn't at the level just like Deng is not at that scoring level.

He is a better fit for the Raps moving forward; we do not an explosive scoring SF ( I can score 40 pts a night type of mentally); that will take too much away from Bargnani and Demar offensively

Barnes comes in and scores 17ppg and 5rpg (a la Deng) ..cover his position...And everybody is happy

This Jenkins guy is really impressing me. Haven't heard much about him which is really surprising.

The turnaround jumper by Anthony Davis. 8-)

Davis is legit. MKG, I'm not so high on. I don't think he fits our team very well. Ford has us drafting him if we get the 5th pick.
