Orlando would never do this.

Budinger/Wes
Love/Scola
Pekovic/Darko/Scola

Scola for 6th man of the year.

If your intentions are to screw Boston and Orlando over then this trade is perfect

Dob't agree with MIN trading for Pau, but they seem to have some genuine interest in him, so whatever. but I would say add Darko going to the Magic, the best lakers Pick to the Magic, the other Lakers pick to MIN, and Reddick to MIN.

You're probably right, I actually though Houston was doing a little worse than they are.
lodom7 wrote:Negative. Orlando is not also giving up Anderson just to get Beasley. If the Magic are giving up Dwight, why are they also giving up their 2nd best player?

Losing Anderson hurts, but he's a RFA next season, and more importantly you get to rid yourself of Hedo's contract + pick up Bynum and Williams. Got to give a little to get a little.
Don Draper wrote:lol. I like how you omitted Houston's roster. No way we do this horrendous trade. Brad Miller really? Why would a playoff team make themselves worse?

Well, I'm not expecting them to get into the playoffs, even though they are looking good right now. Besides, even if they make it at 7th or 8th, they have no chance against the top teams in the West.

TrueToCaesar wrote:Where's Houston's roster? Or is this one of those trades where you grab an extra team you know nothing about and make the trade horrible for them...

Pretty much - although I wouldn't say it's so terrible. They rid themselves of Kmart's contract while picking up about $10m in expiring contracts for next yr + 2 late 1st Rd Picks, giving them some flexibility come draft night.

What about if Toronto jumps in on this and takes one of Webster/Miller and 1 of the picks from Houston for Barbosa.

Trade 1:
To Lakers: Howard, Barea, Turkoglu, Anderson
To Magic: Bynum, Williams, Milicic, Beasley
To T-Wolves: Gasol, Ebanks

Trade 2:
To Houston: Barbosa, Miller, 1st Rd Pick Lakers 2012
To Toronto: Webster, 1st Rd Pick Dallas 2012
To T-Wolves: Martin

Perhaps Houston doesn't get enough there either...

LAKERS:
PG: BAREA / Fisher / Blake
SG: KOBE / Barnes
SF: TURKOGLU / Artest
PF: ANDERSON / McRoberts / Murphy
C: HOWARD / R.Wallace

MAGIC:
PG: NELSON / Duhon
SG: J.RICHARDSON / Reddick
SF: BEASLEY / Q.Richardson
PF: D.WILLIAMS / G.Davis
C: BYNUM / Milicic

T-WOLVES:
PG: RUBIO / Ridnour
SG: MARTIN / Ellington
SF: W.JOHNSON / Ebanks
PF: LOVE / Tolliver / Randolph
C: GASOL / Pekovic

RAPTORS:
PG: CALDERON / Bayless / Carter
SG: DEROZAN / Webster / Forbes
SF: J.JOHNSON / Kleiza / Butler
PF: BARGNANI / A.Johnson / Davis
C: GRAY / Magloire / Alabi

ROCKETS:
PG: LOWRY / Dragic / Flynn
SG: BARBOSA / Lee
SF: BUDINGER / T.Williams
PF: SCOLA / Patterson / Parsons
C: DALEMBERT / Hill / Miller

^ No.

Houston is in the playoffs right now. There is no way in hell we make a trade that makes 2 teams better than us, especially when 1 of those teams is currently only a few games behind us.

I like how Hektor can't even get our starting lineup right.

The only thing I will say is that everyone acts like Denver and Philly are awesome, and yet Houston's better than both teams.
But do you know what they call a fool, who's full of himself and jumps into the path of death because it's cool?

Thread reaching comic levels....op mentions only 3 teams, but suddenly some how Houston gets involved. Houston would want no part of this deal unless they're getting a big.

It's all in good fun guys, relax.

Take out Houston and leave Toronto:

To Lakers: Howard, Barea, Turkoglu, Anderson
To Magic: Bynum, Williams, Milicic, Beasley
To T-Wolves: Gasol, Ebanks, Barbosa, 1st Rd Pick Lakers 2012, 1st Rd Pick Mavs 2012
To Raptors: Webster, 2nd Rd Pick Bulls 2012, 2nd Rd Pick Magic 2012, cash

Raptors then get cap-space to sign Wilson Chandler.

I hate to say it, but I actually kind of like this trade. For all teams involved.

Really, I hate to say that. I absolutely do not want the Lakers to get Dwight Howard, but they give up a suitable amount of value, and the Magic get not one, but two nice young players to build around. Wolves clear a logjam for a starting C/PF who will fit extremely well with Rick Adelman.

But our starting PF / C is our biggest strength right now already. Love - Pekovic have been fantastic for us lately, and then add in Rubio and it's clear we need a wing more then a pf, who would be forced to play center.

I'm a little late to the party here as I'm new to the board as well as the discussion, but I like nothing about the Wolves getting Pau.

He's an older player, I think his skills are declining and he really belongs at PF. I also like no part of giving up Williams.

I liked the Beasley for a first rounder swap, but I haven't heard a whole lot about that lately. The Wolves need a go-to guy. A real scorer, which I think Beasley has the potential to be if he's engaged, but he's not. That player will likely only come to them through the draft.
