“No worries,’’ said Stoudemire. “I’ve spent a year where I’ve pretty much had to sacrifice a lot of my game. Whatever it takes to win. That’s the ultimate goal. If it’s sacrificing the All-Star Game for the betterment of the team, it’s how it goes sometimes.’’
This is where the guy pisses me off so much, and where I think he just doesn't get it. He's "sacrificing" his numbers?!?! He's "sacrificing" the All-Star game?!?! Is this guy serious?
You may have had your touches diminished, but you're shooting terribly and haven't shown even a modicum of the ability to take it to the rack that allowed you to have those numbers, and be in the all-star game, last year.
Instead of admitting this, he's going to try and hustle everyone into thinking that his numbers have gone down because he's this benevolent, magnanimous, team player whose numbers are down because he's sacrificing them. It not that he hasn't been good, it's that everyone else has been different. Give me a break. It's like he thinks we haven't watched him play.

Amar'e is a "special" type of person & if we keep him we're screwed man...
Notice how we go from "I feel better than I did last year" to "I had to sacrifice my game"
