I realize most dunks have already been done so creativity is hard to come by but I really can't stand these damn gimmick dunks.

Glow in the dark? The dunk was good enough to let people actually SEE it.

Sticker on the backboard? Dude, you did so bad, there was Bird poop all over the backboard.

Blindfold? You pick the dunk that is not famous but rather infamous? Really?

What's next? An entire dunk contest of people jumping over other people? Wait......

Instead of pocketing all the revenue and money from these bogus crammed commercials how about throwing $1mil into a pool and the winner gets it? Get LeBron/Wade/Rose etc in the dunk contest.

Really can't blame the players they all tried their best. It was a terrible selection of dunkers to begin with. Kenny was cringeworthy also. Also, Evans best dunk was pretty amazing. And last, nothing is worse than the choir they brought out last year.

Dear NBA:

- Please bring back retired NBA greats as judges at least for one round if not for the whole thing. It's great to introduce them to newer fans, and honour them in the process.

- New rule: no gimmicks or at least limit the number of dunks that can include one

- What if fan voting could somehow get their favourite players - that means you great dunking all-stars who keep sitting these out - to participate in the dunk contest (without mocking the process by voting for the least athletic guy)

- Come to Toronto (shameless plug)
