Here is a two trade amalgamation of some of my recent proposals.

Deal 1
POR
in:  Kaman
out:  Wallace

NOH
in:  Beasley + Orton + Harper
out:  Kaman

MIN
in:  JRich
out:  Beasley

ORL:
in:  Wallace
out:  JRich + Orton + Harper

Deal 2
SAC
in: Anderson + Duhon
out: Evans + Thompson

Dwight/Thompson
Davis/Clark
Wallace/Hedo
JJ/Von/Liggins
Evans/Jameer

Dynamic guard scorer in Evans who will push the tempo, gritty defense in Dwight/BBD/Wallace, scoring punch off the bench from Jameer, and a back up C.

*I posted this is the "what would Otis something blah blah blah" thread but can't let it just go to waste so I'm re-posting it here. Some of these are based on less than solid rumor, some on reported availability but with no Orlando ties, and others based on pure fantasy.

Step One option A: Package Nelson/Redick/ 2013 1st rounder (either unprotected or protected) and go after Ellis, Rondo, Nash, Parker. I'm confident any of these guys would be a huge upgrade over Nelson, enough to compensate for the loss of Redick.

Step One option B: Offer Nelson for Calderon with the bonus of taking back a contract they don't want that will fit in our Bass TPE. Really Bayless is the only guy that fits. I only see Toronto doing this if they really want to clear up more cap space to go after Wilson Chandler.

Step Two, if option A or B worked: Offer Duhon/QRich/Orton, or Baby/Duhon for SJax.

Step Two, if neither option A or B worked: Offer any of Hedo/Baby/Duhon/QRich for Sjax.

Step Three, which I'm doing unless Step One Option B happens: Offer Jrich for Andre Miller with the bonus of our taking on Anderson with the Bass TPE.

So there you go, those are the moves I'd try and make at the deadline as a "last ditch effort"

Best case is that we upgrade our starting Point Guard with one of the elite guards in the game, bring in SJax in a long term cap clearing move while also shoring up our rotation, and bring in Miller in another long term cap clearing move while further shoring up our rotation.

Best case roster post trade deadline

PG: Miller/Ish
SG: Ellis/Wafer
SF: Hedo/SJax
PF: Anderson/Baby
C: Howard/Chris Anderson

not ideal, no.

perhaps the deal could be expanded to send Thompson or Hickson back to us?

or we could always try to make an extra deal of JJ/JRich for one of:

Millsap
Ilyasova
Frye
Landry
Beasley
Diaw
Harrington

and so on. not an impossible fix, i wouldn't think?

The biggest culprit of that is Hedo. Considering he's a key part of making this team's offense gel, that's a bad start.

I can't stand Hedo's laziness... I really can't... I feel like he sleepwalks through games, more-so than he used to when he was younger.

This is the main reason I dislike having him on the team so much. When Davis was going through his rough patch, I never really rode him, because he still appeared to be trying.

Everyone has bad games/stretches, but there is no excuse for a lack of effort.

Interesting......

"I'm positive the Knicks have called just in case Dwight changes up," an Eastern Conference GM said. "I'm sure they've offered a combination of everybody, excluding Jeremy Lin, of course."

Also...

“I can tell you for a fact the Lakers offered Andrew Bynum and the Magic do not want him,” said a Western Conference executive.”

If we are turning down Melo/Chandler than we must really feel confident.

For some reason I don't think they'd offer Melo... He's been dying his whole career to play in NY, played college ball in Syracuse and is loved my the New York city metropolis.

As for Amare, I'd rather have Bynum... or heck, the Nets offer is even better.

REALLY confident......OK, there has to be something going on. Because Melo/Chandler for Dwight is a good deal.

Hell, it's a great deal for a star who is supposed to be leaving, anyway.

Yeah, I've been defending Amare this entire season, but I think it's time to face facts. He's done.

It's so good that I'd do it even if Dwight didn't want to leave

Let'em have Jameer too and I'll take Baron off their hands.

I doubt they offered Melo and Chandler. This is interesting though.

Melo/Chandler for Dwight? Where do I sign? Seriously, it doesn't get much better than that offer. I would need Dwight's ink on the paper for me to not do that deal (and maybe that along with another stars hint of commitment).

Think of trade ideas like this... If this board approves of it, the other team usually hates it.

Example -

No, we'd be LIVID.
