But our starting PF / C is our biggest strength right now already. Love - Pekovic have been fantastic for us lately, and then add in Rubio and it's clear we need a wing more then a pf, who would be forced to play center.

I like what Pekovic has done, and while I don't think its a total mirage, hes not exactly untouchable, nor should he be blocking the position like Love and Rubio do PF and PG.

Why are you judging the trade for Minnesota based on what LA gets rather than on what Minnesota sends away? Beasley + Barea for Pau isn't bad for Minny even considering Pau's age, position, and contract. Beasley + Barea + Williams, on the other hand, is terrible.

Starting 5:

Rubio

Love
Gasol
Pekovic

The first legit all white starting 5 since....I don't know when

If Love can play 3, but I think he can. Also Gasol can come off the bench as he gets older, its a huge luxury having a guy like that as your rotation big.

If I'm Orlando I consider it but there has to be a pick from the Lakers added.

No way Love can consistently guard small fowards.

Kevin Love isn't even a good defender against PF's, which makes you think he'll be able to guard SF's who are much quicker?

wolves get pau gasol

lakers get beasley, barea, dwight howard

magic get derrick wiliams and andrew bynum

So the Wolves would keep Pekovic Love and Gasol? While getting rid of Williams and Beasley?

That is a pretty beasty front court, but what would they do at SF? Wes Johnson?

It's not, lol. They just think any change is magically a good change since what they have now isn't working. But different doesn't = better. It would look like a better deal if they didn't dump Lamar Odom.

LA's going to get past the Mavs or Spurs with only one elite big man? lmfao. . .please. Spurs would win in 5, Mavs would win in 6. Barea blows against Parker, Kobe has choked against the Spurs since 2008 playoffs, Gasol/Bynum is their only hope. Likewise against Mavs, they will force Kobe to take 18-22 foot jumpers all day while Dwight struggles to get a decent interior position against the zone.

Beasley isn't going to bail them out. LA killed their own championship hopes by trading Odom. The dream's over, time to wake up Lakers fans.

yeah, odom's beasting in Dallas right? he would've been such an important part of this laker team now, his 7 points, 4 rebounds on 35% shooting is surely missed right now

If he was still in LA he wouldnt be playing as horrible, not being in LA is part of the reason Odumb is sucking.

Man you've been in several threads blowing this spewed garbage about how it's over for the Lakers, and basing EVERY instance on it being them letting go LO......please miss me with this idiotic garbage. The Lakers are 20-14, and still in the thick of pack for finishing in the top 3. It would've been nice to have LO still, but it's obvious to many who know ball that if a player is this easily rattled about a trade to the point it has screwed with his performance it's obvious something is wrong with the player and not the team. And who are you to say the Lakers didn't know something about him more in depth than you ?

The Lakers asked him to reconsider his demand, but he was so pissed he asked to leave...so be it his wish was met. But this asinine thought of the Lakers hopes being based on LO is idiotic.
