Beasley for the TPE and a pick. Sessions for Walton/McRoberts and a pick.

Unless LA comes up with a three way deal involving a team that has a SG for us, I can't see anything happening between our teams. You can't trade Kobe or Bynum, and Pau has no value to us.

someone better apologize

Pssst: The Timberwolves are serious about a potential trade of Michael Beasley to the Los Angeles Lakers for a first-round draft pick.

and he's over there talking about goudelock and 2015 1sts, boy is he going to be pissed once Beasley gets moved for a 2012 1st and TPE. If said rumor is true, of course.

if we are willing to play Beasley at the 4 spot then I'm all in for the Pau swap.I want the 2 former #2 overall picks, then probably Ellington/Webster and Darko.

You can do both, you just have to include Barnes, Kapono, and perhaps Morris/Murphy to get Sessions. Not a big loss, especially if you can get Anthony Parker as a separate throw-in. Parker has the better three point shot anyway so he's a nice fit.

Saw some speculation that if Minny traded Beasely to us for the TPE they'd have enough cap to offer Wilson Chandler a sizable contract (8M+)? Can anyone confirm/verify?

They had the full 5mil mle to offer JR (said he was not interested in even talking to them), so yeah they could offer Wilson big money with more cap space by getting rid of Beas

Yeah well they have about 1.2 Mil in cap space right now, and taking Beasley out would make it 7.4Mil

That's interesting. If they wanted to clear even more room we could absorb someone else as well as extra incentive like a Tolliver for example at $2M.

That is possible. Their fans will come in roaring how we're getting too much value and he's being given away but they are talking about a guy that is literally gone in the off-season. He doesn't even help them right now either.

I can hear Saltine coming.

I really dont see the point of trading him to the lakers for TPE when we can simply renounce his rights, which basically accomplishes the same thing, but doesnt help out the lakers

The only reason would be pretty much Wilson Chandler right now. L.A. in some ways has a little control on who Chandler ends up with. That's what their banking on.

IF and that's a large if. Minnesota gets Chandler, it's worth it for Beasley. If they don't they lose Beasley's rights in the off-season which I doubt they would have kept in the first place. Their actual loss for the playoffs is also more or less nothing since Beasley doesn't play.

Well, they can bank on it for two more days, since come march 1st, Chandler can only sign with Denver for the remainder of the season. And your whole scenario for getting Beasley cheap just seems pretty absurd, youre banking on that the wolves want Chandler, want Chandler enough to shed some salary to get him, overpay him enough so that denver doesnt match, and that no other team offers a better offer or that Chandler picks the wolves over a few similar offeres, and all that needs to happen in two days.

Good luck with that

It is what it is. I don't think there's a deal to be had with Minnesota unless L.A. surprises me and trades that first.

Then trade Blake and a 1st for Sessions, sign Arenas and Sheed, and we're set.

Sessions/Fish
Kobe/Arenas
MWP/Barnes
Pau/Beasley
Bynum/Sheed

That would be a solid bench, a good fast PG, instant scoring off the bench and a veteran defensive center in Sheed.
