Screw that deal. If Dwight AND Jameer are going, then no way they get Anderson too. Send Davis instead.

I am sure we will hear some good stuff on the rumor front from David Aldridge during the All Star game. Maybe it'll even force Kyler's hand to reveal what he has heard or made up

Actually the Mavs would start off in the off-season w/ 54,323,089 on the books. Then if they decide to not keep Odom, VC, Wright, and Sean Williams that'll put them around 41,156,385. Then amnestying Marion would give them 32,760,021. I'm not sure if that puts them in the position to give max deals to both Dwight and Deron, but they can always take a pay cut. So even if Deron runs to Dallas, the Magic will still have a lot of work to get Dwight to commit to the team and the franchise.

Where are you getting your numbers?

he probably got them from hoopshype or hoopsworld, and just did the math

Andrew, Pau and Jose will not be beating the heat or chi as they are. What is that noise you are talking about?

IMO, Bynum/Gasol/Calderon and get rid of Hedo is a pretty decent package ..

Still, I'd like someone to take on Duhon, no matter who we trade with. That guy HAS TO GO in any trade we make

Wasn't it Dwight, Hedo, Jameer? Where was Anderson mentioned?

Yeah here's my take on that deal

If LA wants Dwight... they are taking BBD, Duhon, and J-Rich with them

We keep Jameer and Hedo, because Jameer will most likely opt out this summer, and Hedo's deal expires during the summer of 2013.

BBD, Duhon, and J-Rich are on longer deals, so I'd rather have those guys be shipped out with Dwight.

Let's clear cap imo.

I doubt Jameer is gonna opt out, he won't get anywhere near $8.5mil on the free market. I think he will wait another year for his last real contract. What is this deal involving Anderson? Isn't it Dwight+Hedo+Jameer for Bynum+Pau?

a declining Paul Gasol, a bad knee issue with Andrew Bynum, and a 30 year old Jose Calderon will bring some noise here with the Magic for years to come? Is this the idea of orlando magic front office?? Instead of full rebuild mode in which Nets can offer, we have to be medicore with this group? Officially we become a La Lakers with Jrich as Kobe bryant, with a almost prime derrick fisher...Yea this team will never beat a team with miami heat, new york knicks, chicago bulls, etc.

Dwight is not going to the Lakers. And if he does Gasol will never play a minute for the Magic. He will be flipped for other pieces.

Hmm, you're right... especially at Jameer's age.

So let's try something else...

I wouldn't mind this deal (I couldn't use Trade Machine, since Davis can't be used yet due to the TRE)

Magic receives: Gasol, Bynum, Calderon
Magic sends: Howard, Turkoglu, Duhon, Davis, Q-Rich

Lakers receives: Howard, Turkoglu, Duhon
Lakers sends: Gasol, Bynum

Raptors receives: Davis, Q-Rich
Raptors sends: Calderon

Gets rid of Turkoglu, Duhon, Davis, and Q-Rich.

Boom we got rid of 4 guys on terrible or long deals and we clear cap in order to rebuild. Nelson's deal will expire next summer. We hang on to J-Rich and see if we can move him in another deal (maybe packaged with a flipped Gasol) or during the draft/offseason.

So Toronto trades their starting PG for Davis who is on long term contract and plays PF, when Toronto already has their best player at that position (Bargani), another lottery pick (Davis), and solid backup big (Amir Johnson) and they have another lottery pick (Jonas) coming next year from overseas. And add to that washed up Q-rich on contract for next two season. How does this make sense for them?

So we would get Bynum, Williams, Calderon instead? Wasn't there a rumor a couple nights ago involving Orl/LAL/Minny?

It doesn't make sense for them... I admit that... there are a lot of deals that don't make any sense occurring in the NBA, so I would assume the Raptors would be the proverbial token "bad end of the deal" team... just being honest... sorry I didn't try as hard explaining it or defending it... because it shouldn't be defended, the Raptors get a crap deal... but hey, that's the nature of the business sometimes, those bad deals do occur in real life... more-so than deals that "make sense" if you really think about it honestly.
