Yup. Was just about to post this. Oh and this...

Just heard this from very reliable souce: NJ Nets officials seriously doubt that the #Magic will trade @Dwighthoward before trade deadline.

This is the first season for the Magic not having a wing player in our top 2 in FGA. This is our 2nd consecutive year of having Dwight lead the team in FGA. Previous seasons he wasn't even top 2. Offense tanks, Dwight increases role. Not saying there is a correlation there...

My main point is that it is clear that we need an upgrade on the wing, that since trading away Carter we've really fallen off on our wing play. I just don't see Otis sitting tight and letting the deadline pass without an upgrade at the 1 or 3.

i wonder what the team thinks they need to do to improve, and i wonder if that vision is shared by Otis, Stan and Dwight?

i get the feeling Otis thinks JRich is better than he is (and, by his previous career numbers, he's a better scorer than he is here).

on the other hand, i think Stan likes to share the ball and doesn't trust he has any go to scorers other than Dwight, Jameer and Turk - considering everyone else plays off them.

If we can trade for Nash without losing Ryan Anderson maybe Dwight will opt in for next year. I think that would be our best move. Nash would be great for this team. He needs a change of scenery, and a chance for a title.

Dwight can play the rest of this season, and then play next year. After that, if we don't win anything, then he can bolt and we will go into rebuild mode. That's the best thing that can happen.

Exactly, just like he over valued Doo-hon and Q, giving them 4 yr deals. If Otis doesn't pull something off at this deadline, he needs to be replaced.

I still can't believe that Duhon deal.

Every member on this board could have told you that was a bad idea. I watch the Knicks alot (always have for some reason), and I can't count how many times he would finish with a night of 0/0/4 or something like that, as a starter. I figured he would suck here, as well.

He's also gained some wait.

nelson+jj+orton+1st is the best we can offer. they could flip jj to the wolves for a.randolph or another asset. then flip turk for sjax and we can compete now and clear capspace faster if dwight opts in.

Yeah me too

I also noticed Melo on the bench grinning sheepishly when he said "...this is a great city and arena" when asked about Dwight

i took it as an awkward smile.

then he just shut down the dude who asked the next question, about whether or not it makes him want to stay more. i was disappointed about that.

i just don't see a JJ + Jameer offer as something Phoenix will bite on.
