Doesn't mean anything. He's one year younger than DJ and while he may be older than some of the guys we can draft, he has experience they lack.

Doesn't mean anything? Since when does age not mean anything? We certainly cared about how old or young Biyombo was/is.

And I just don't think he's that good. Of course, I said the same things about mullens when he was "breaking out" only to turn out to be pretty much as advertised.

If we're looking at trading DJ (a year older) for Brooks instead of a first-rounder (which would be in the late teens - 20 range at best), age isn't going to make much of a difference. I would rather take a slightly older guy ready to contribute than waste a late lotto on a guy who "could" pan out. Ajinca "could" pan out too. Or not.

Then again, I'm a little biased because I had Brooks pegged as a top 10 talent and felt, in many ways, he was better than Kemba. To have that player on our team with Kemba? Damn son, damn.

Before the draft and now Brooks seems like the kind of one dimensional scorer that are a dime a dozen in the nba. Best case a Jamal Crawford type. You don't trade a strong young pointguard for a dime a dozen player. I would rather just match any offer for him, and keep him indefinitely.

Well, I also really like Brooks, and agree with dmutumbo that he would be a great addition to the Cats. Hendo is still a better 6th man than starter. Not sure I wouldn't want more than Duhon in that deal (maybe a 2nd rounder at least), but it may not be a real option as a facilitator team. DJ will not bring a ton of return, no matter what we may think.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

What makes Henderson a sixth man? If anything Brooks would be the obvious sixth man.

I'd do DJA for Brooks+Jordan Williams & whatever salary the nets/magic want to rent.

That's a good trade imo.

I agree Brooks as the 6th man in this situation.

Duhon wouldn't be too bad as a throw in, he's not a cap crippling contract & plays a position of need if we trade Augustin.
