Trade Deadline Rumors Thread (Update pg. 24)

Post#1 » by ZzAzZ » Mon Feb 27, 2012 3:22 pm

This is going to be a big topic over the next couple of weeks, we already have some things going on.

Howard trade talk is all over the place with him for Bynum, or him involved in a three way deal with NJ and who knows. Plus the Deron Williams situation, which apparently not many people think he will stay.

We know Houston is still very insterested in Pau Gasol which will probably need a third team involved.

And you also have our very own Sixers, who if you think the 5 game losing streak means anything, may very well be in the rumor mill as they say.

Boston will be making moves before the deadline, I think that is a lock. Whether it's to start rebuilding or try to get back to contender status.

Anything else anyone hears, I figure we can keep it in this compact thread of trade rumors and speculation.

Real rumors that is, not fantasy trades. Not "would this team do this for this?". Just actual rumors and real trade talk.

Just want to add a checklist for players involved in rumors or speculation: (let me know if I'm missing any)

Howard
Nash
Bogut
Any of the Celtics
Carmelo
Gasol

It will be interesting to see what Phoenix does with Steve Nash. I have heard Portland as a potential suiter for him.

At the end of the day I only really care if we make a move and I don't think we will. We never do so I doubt things change this year. Iguodala the all star super role player will be here until the end of time, and we will continue to build around him and Lou...YES

I am convinced that OKC needs to land Nash and slide Westbrook to the 2. I think that would be dangerous. They just really don't have much to give up that wouldn't hurt them.

Also as I said in the Bogut thread, 0% interested.

Man, that would be an insanely fun team to watch. Doubt it would happen, but if it does wow... Looks like Sixers are just gonna ride this season out. We'll see. Maybe we'll get some interest in Iggy or Turner, due to their increased pub after the All Star weekend. Need to make some moves, status quo is beginning to turn sour.

i know explosionindasky is having fun with my complete 180 statements, as i admit, its pretty funny, but i mean, who could really have predicted what has happened with this team

they were playing great... everyone... for a while

then out of no where, massive injuries to both our frontline guys, and everyone on our team starts playing incredibly worse...

idk, but i think we need to make some moves... for a while i thought the lots of good solid players thing was working, but you cant have that work if you dont have a 20 ppg scorer... you just have to have that guy... he doesnt have to be a superstar, but we dont even have that 20 ppg scorer

OKC is not going to go for Nash. Their backcourt defense is already questionable. Trade Harden+ for Nash and it becomes terrible. Their defense is kept alive right now by the fact that Ibaka blocks so many shots, but he can only do so much. A Nash trade is not going to happen. They like their squad.

Yeah I know it's not going to happen, but he would undoubtably make them a better team. They need another guy who can make shots, and he would get much easier baskets for Durant, and Westbrook especially. They have no one to give up but I'm basically just dreaming. Would be nice if they somehow did get him and then Bogut but at this point I might as well say it'd be great if they got Howard and Love.

we didn't make a trade since 2010.. we haven't made a significant trade since 2007..

I hope new ownership comes out aggressive and improves this team!

The only thing i would want to do is trade Iggy for a true SG. Amnesty Brand to get a better player in the middle

We gotta trade for a broken down player and hope he gets back to 100% knowing damn well he won't and thus be stuck with a giant contract.

It's the Sixer way.

That or do nothing and drop the we tried to make moves but nothing was there line.

that would be nice.. then i could look like even crazier!!!

in all reality though, i dont think anyone saw this big of a crash coming...

dont understand why our entire starting frontline had to go down, but what can you do...

still cant get why turner is being treated like an 18 year old second round pick

and i dont get why iggy keeps getting worse offensively

KrazySixersD if anything I was just admiring your passion. lol...I find myself doing the same things when things go bad. Thing is I don't think we need to make a major trade until we get healthy again. Kind of like to see if our slide is more due to the loss of both Hawes and Brand or if we were simply a product of an easy schedule to start the season.
-One thing is for sure; I'm looking forward to the summer to see what is done with Iguodala, Lou Williams, and even Evan Turner.

no worries lol

idk, early on it seemed we had a good offensive flow where everyone was contributing

now.... everyone stands around and waits for someone to try and score... and then takes jump shots when they get the ball... all we do is handoffs and dump downs into the post

no high screens or nothing

its become painfully obvious that even if we are healthy we dont have a scorer that can create and score when needed... we just dont

jrue should be better at that but isnt, turner is such a question mark and we all know we wont ever see what the answer is with him with doug's rotation, and iggy is awful, and lou is just not good enough to do that

hawes is out another 2 weeks minimum so...... its been a fun year while it lasted
