Im offcially done with the general board
Two new topics today about how Wade both sucks and is a dirty player. Everyday bashing of Lebron and highly educated fans talking about how the Heat should trade Wade for any top 10 Sg and depth to make their team better. Maybe I missed the thread but I didn't see one topic about how embarrassing it was to watch Kobe hog the ball for the last 5 minutes of the all star games while wade forced him into one airball after the next.
Sorry I just wanted to vent and if I did it over there I would probably get suspended.

Re: Im offcially done with the general board
Who cares about the General Board?
Its a bunch of: Lakers, Celtics, Bulls fans who love nothing more than to let our their jealousy and frustration on an INTERNET FORUM.
Wade is dirty. Lebron sucks. The Heat choke. The refs favor the Heat.
WAAAAAAAAAAAAH WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
Call the freaking Wambulance.
Our team is better than theirs. Period.
Our SF is the best in the world. Our SG is the best in the world.
We get to cheer for them. AND we get to live in Miami.
Them? Worse cities. Worse teams.
Put it all in perspective before you even bother replying, or even reading.
I dont post anywhere but the MIA board. Why even bother?

Yeah I know, I'm going to avoid GB for awhile because it's being filled with nonsense. The thread about Wade should be closed because it has turned into a Wade hate thread rather than just talking about what happened.
The Wade on the decline threads are the same thing.

I made the longest post I've made in the last 5 years on there. When Jon Barry laughs and says the criticism about that turnover is stupid, you know things are just ridiculous. The right play was the pass, but he passed to the wrong person.
Wade's foul was a hard foul, but I don't think he meant to hit him in the face at all. I thought he was just trying to pull him down around the shoulders. He wasn't too apologetic though.
I'll say that. PEACE.

First of all, most of the Lakersfan don't go on the GB and Kobe gets ripped there just like Lebron. Wade isn't a dirty player and calling him dirty after that foul also seems pretty stupid to me, but you really can't argue that it was a stupid foul. No, he didn't wan to draw blood, but he cleary went after his head. How many dunks did the West have ? 40 ? How many were contested ? While I really like that foul in a normal game, it was unnecessary in the ASG and Wade should know better.
Lebron congratulating Kobe on passing MJ and Wade saying that with KD in the league the record won't hold long also seems odd. Although I agree that KD could get the record some day, you can atleast show Kobe shome respect.
I agree that ripping him apart on the GB is injustified, but saying the foul was ok is also not correct imo. I don't want to troll, just want to share another opinion. We'll see you guys on Sunday

"Tonight, he does what he normally does," Wade said of Bryant. "He got 27. He's Kobe Bryant. He scores the ball. He's a tough cover. But it's great being a little piece of history. He's one of the best of all time. We will one day say we had the honor of playing against one of the greatest players to ever play the game of basketball."

I was going to mention this. Articles nowadays are broken up into pieces within and Wade did give props to Kobe, it could have been before or after the KD comment, but ESPN or whoever won't mention that just to make the drama better. Just like when they released Lebron saying he can see himself in Cleveland again without stating the original question making it look like LBJ said it on his own.

The General Board is full of retards and little kids and unfortunately, the mods either don't have the balls to ban those guys or just live with those tools to achieve a good amount of traffic on their board or are amongst those trolls. I barely ever leave the Heat board and haven't been on the GB in a while. We have enough trolls coming in here.

I think the reality was Wade was tired of Kobe padding his stats and didn't want to let him have an easy dunk. He didn't think he was gonna try and spin off him to the hoop so it pissed him off and he fouled him. It was a clean foul, it just happened to hit his head. If kobe is gonna be hell bent on showing every body up it is not surprising that Wade who has been better than kobe for a number of years might be pissed off at him.
What really mattered to me is the Defense wade played on him at the end when kobe took three embarrassing turn arounds for no reason. I am really looking forward to playing you guys just to see Kobe be embarrassed again. We blew you guys out with out wade but now he's in the lineup it's gonna get ugly fast.

My favorite one was when how Lebron mentioned he feels his game is more similar to Magic than Jordon and some people in the GB were like" he has to win a ring yet before he can compare himself to Magic" "all he wants is attention" blah blah like really??

I've commented very selectively on the GB since creating this account. I was already suspended by mods from the NYK board so I'm no longer taking chances. And for the record I'm a die hard Lebron James fan moreso then Miami heat fan lol. Im usually on this or Spurstalk.com
Tim Duncan. Manu Ginobli. Lebron James. Ricky Rubio. Kevin Love (My Fav 5)

I can tell you right now that 2 of the GB mods have long disliked the Heat and their fans.
We do have a Heat fan as a mod, but Flash3 isn't very active anymore.

Wrong. Now this reply may be considered trolling, but what he did was give an educated opinion.
"Troll: One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument"
Isn't giving an opinion what forum boards are about? Maybe you missed the entire concept.

Re: Im offcially done with the general board
Hey Pimpwerx, dunno if you saw this but here was my response to some of the points you made in that epic post on the GB earlier
SideshowBob wrote:Pimpwerx wrote:As a Magic fan (all-time favorite player), I idolized the guy who made his team better. The guy who was willing to make that pass to Worthy or Scott on the final play, to win the game. Magic never struck me as someone who liked taking the final shot, unless he had to. I always figured you'd want to avoid a last-second shot anyway, you wanted to be productive enough that you don't have those close calls.
Agree with your points. Makes more sense to avoid a close game situation and try to win the game before the buzzer. It's no surprise that in the last 6.5 seasons, no player in the league (or at least star player) has won more games than Lebron has (playoffs or regular season). He just hasn't been able to replicate that success in the Finals. However, the media narrative (and thus the armchair expert's opinion) has become that the great players are these last-second heros who hit clutch shots. The misses don't matter, it's all about the willingness to take the shot, regardless of the outcome.
YupWhat is the basis for this?
snip
Both Wade and Melo would have been better shots than the one he didn't take, but he should have taken it anyway. It's a meaningless game, we just assume he would have wanted to take the last-second heave, since that's what we all would have done. However, is that the mentality of a guy who favors the right play over the big shot?
Great points. That is exactly Lebron's mentality, he'll look to make the game winning play over the game winning shot, however, if that means that he has to take the shot, then he'll take it. There's been countless studies that show that he takes more of those shots than anyone else, and in late game situations, he's actually less likely to pass than even Kobe is. The fact is however, media and public perception do not seem to actually match reality. They're now starting to take the "Lebron's afraid of the moment" stance, despite the fact that this season alone, he's already taken 3 shots with the game on the line, though to his fault, he's missed all 3.Lebron is a winner. I'm gonna jump to a crazy conclusion and assume that he has the highest win percentages of any current player. He just plain wins more games than anyone else. Doesn't that suggest he's making the right call late in games?
Yup, as I said earlier, since 2006 (his first time making the playoffs), he's won more regular season AND playoff games than anyone else in the league.
Kobe - 54 playoff wins, 89 games, 60.6%
Wade - 34 playoff wins, 60 games, 56.7%
Dirk - 40 playoff wins, 71 games, 56.3%
Lebron - 56 playoff wins, 92 games, 60.9%I imagine I'll hear that he hasn't won a championship, but would he have won either of those Finals with last-second shots? Was his late-game play the issue in either of the Finals he lost? I don't remember the scores even being close in the '07, and then last year he had a full-game disappearing act, not just late in the games.
The games in the Spurs series were close games. However, late game play wasn't even an issue then, 45% of his points in that series came in the 4th quarter. He may have struggled through the first 3, but he brought it at the end, even if he missed shots at the very end of the game. It also didn't help that the rest of his team went 66 for 170 from the field in the three most important games of the season. You know you're team bad when your star player struggles from the field, shoots just under 40% and still shoots better than the rest of the team.
As for last year, I don't know if you've seen the playoff fourth quarter thread I started on the PC board, but the Dallas series was the worst of his career from basically every aspect; particularly late game play. The chances of him playing that bad again are close to zero, he basically put up half the production of his next worst 4th quarter series.I feel Lebron has been burdened with being able to do everything Jordan can, eventhough he's never played like Jordan. Even in high-school, he played the same distributor role. He got on ESPN, and half his highlights were slick passes to his teammates who were nowhere near his talent level. If a teenager isn't gonna take the chance to ballhog on national television, an adult version of that same player is not suddenly going to transform into one either.
Asking Lebron to take that last-second heave over the higher-percentage shot his teammate has, is asking him to play 47 minutes and 50 seconds as one player, and then transform into a different player in the last 10 seconds. Most-importantly, it's asking him to do so regardless of the outcome. To a player that values winning above all else, it might not be possible to make that change. Like Magic, Lebron just isn't wired that way. I think he chose the better basketball play, because he wanted to win. If he's put winning above self, there's just no way he would bring himself to take a shot he's deemed poor. I don't think winning less and taking more late-game shots would make him a better player. PEACE.
I think you make great points about how he's wired in regards to the late game shots, but I don't agree with the Magic comparison, even if Lebron himself has brought it up. He's still more Jordan than Magic; the only real similarity there is a 6 8 guy who can play point guard. He still has more of a scorer's mentality and his passing game was largely based around his drive and dish ability early on. We've seen it on the Heat. Despite playing with Wade, he's still the guy taking the most shots, even with him playing more off of the ball this year. He's taken and made tons of game winning shots before, even in the playoffs (6 in the postseason if my memory holds true), and he's going to continue to do so.
But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

Why would ever go to the GB to discuss basketball on an intellectual level. It would be on par with going down to the 4th ground playground during recess to discuss basketball. Except Im guessing the average intelligence is higher on the playground.
The GB is filled with a bunch of moronic children who know absolutely nothing about the game

ANYONE and EVERYONE that talks crap about the Miami Heat would LOVE to have Lebron, Wade, and Bosh on their squads. It's a bunch of hypocrisy, so I don't let it get to me. If those three were on the Lakers, I'd be sneering at the Lakers, too. I completely understand.
Enjoy this team while we're in what's probably the golden era of our franchise. If we're able to win it all, we'll all get our U MAD spam on, at which point they can ban me for life.
