Right on. When was the last time either middleweights or LHW's were on TUF ? Seems like it's been awhile.

MWs wasn't that long ago...the season Court McGee won (I think Liddell vs. Ortiz/Franklin?). I think MW is probably their most featured division.

LHWs has been a while though. Off the top of my head...Bader?

This is why I was hoping they would devote entire seasons to each of the BW and FW classes. Partially because they deserve it and the talent in those divisions would have justified it, and also because it would delay going back to the well again for the other divisions. I also just like watching a one weight class season better, knowing anybody can fight anybody.

I'm hoping they do an exclusive Flyweight season by the end of the year. Maybe even use it to crown the first champion.

the good thing about the new era of TUF is that we won't have to wait as long for the coaches to fight since the show will be filmed on a weekly basis and shown each week instead of having 3+ months off of editing then finally airing. granted june (what i heard) is a while for both guys.

Yeah, the coaches are supposed to have their training camps on the show itself. That's going to be an interesting wrinkle. Not sure how it will work.

I don't understand why they don't get coaches that match the fighters or fighters that match the coaches. Is it so hard to get coaches and fighters that are all in the same weight class? How cool would that be to see a TUF winner go up against his former coach one day? Then the coaches could also spend more time sparing with their students.

Iaquinta, Jury, and Cochrane are the 3 I'd say should be the favorites.

Both great fighters, but dislike both dudes. They irk me.

Going to be tough to watch this season. Double KO.

I knew Cochrane sounded familiar. I watched him fight Marcus Levesseur in St. Paul awhile back. Talented dude, I do think he is susceptible to a good old fashioned wrestlef-ing though.

He is the guy who beat Jamie Varner in Varner's first fight after being cut by Zuffa.

Yep. He hadn't done much by the time I saw him. Everyone was pretty shocked when Marcus lost to him. Levesseur was an unreal college wrestler, like 20-4 or so at the time in mma, and had just came back from the tuf audition and basically not made it because he wasn't really a compelling story. Either way, supposedly a win that night was his ticket to a bigger promotion, and he ended up getting subbed by some dude who only had 5-6 fight at the time.

Not surprising now though. Looks like Cochrane beat Varner and was later defeated by a true ww (I'm assuming a bigger wrestler with good sub defense). Levesseur doing well these days too, 3 fight win streak after Cochrane and recently defeated Dane Sayers (the American Indian dude with the red hair from tuf).
