Chuck and Shaq talking mostly about Cousins after the game. Actually it was all Cousins, talking about how he has "scary" talent. Chuck said he has the most potential out of everyone on the floor. Considering the young talent out there that's a pretty amazing complement. Shaq wants him to average 28 and 10 lol.
According to them its all on Cousins to be the next great thing. What are your guys thoughts about him.

Ahh, damn it. I turned off the tv once Irving accepted his MVP.
That's high praise by two great big men about Cousins! Cousins can be an all star as early as next year if he wanted to. We just need the right pieces around him.

Honestly, I was shocked that Chuck could actually fix his mouth to utter a POSITIVE critique of a Sacramento player.

Basically it's the same old stuff about Cousins. Saying he needs a mentor in his ear, implying he's not self motivated, blah blah blah. These guys don't have a clue about what DMC needs. By all accounts DMC is an extremely hard worker. What he needs is someone to help polish his game by developing go-to post moves, he needs to be improve his on-court concentration, and he needs to channel his temper into more productive avenues. Barkley and Shaq depicted him as lazy but super talented. They heaped praise on his Potential but misdiagnosed what Cousins needs to realize it.

The only thing that is stopping him from being the #2 Center in the league RIGHT NOW is the fact that he reaches on D like a guard instead of standing up and being big against drivers like a big man.
He already is the best big or PLAYER in the league at taking charges because of his footwork/speed. He could easily average two plus blocks with respect from the refs and wouldn't get half the foul calls if he would stopmreaching.

I want that two hours of my life back. That was the biggest waste of time ever. Took a terrible game and made it worse! At least they had a rook/soph rivalry to keep it interesting a tad bit. This was worse than a pick up game.
I think it's funny that Sir Charles always brings up how Cousins needs vet like Moses Malone, uh, it's kind of almost impossible to do that nowadays duh! Teams in the top of the draft don't usually have a HOF big waiting in the wings, and a Doctor J on top of it. Back in the day you could trade for a Magic Johnson and put him next to a Kareem, but today, those picks usually go to the WORST and YOUNGEST teams.

Dude, no. Jesus Christ.
The thing keeping him from being the #2 center in the league is that he shoots under 44% from the field. I mean his defense doesn't help either, but his very low shooting percentage is the real problem.

This is absolutely true, but I do think we need somebody who Cuz would really looks up to. Guys like Chuck and Cisco are nice, but I don't know what kind of real impact they have on guys like Cuz at the end of the day. We won't be getting a Moses-caliber big (I mean really, none of those exist now), but getting someone who he might look up to would probably be very helpful.
No, I don't have any ideas off hand.
