I think he is currently our best player and surely best backcourt player. While saying that matching an offer sheet would be only to get something for him in a trade later I don't see him being in our future plans not because he is not good enough but because we are going nowhere know and it is better to get future assets for him instead.

In the hypothetical case that Rondo leaves Boston... do you think that we can get a 1º round from Boston if they send DJ Augustin??

Remember than Boston have 2 first round picks.

what is fair pick value for DJ?

i think a pick in the 12-17 range is fair value. or two picks in the 20-30 range.

I think we need lottery balls for one pick, and two picks otherwise.

As far as non lotto draft picks goes you can't get better than Bostons. They're looking at 15 at the moment, that would be a solid swap for Dj and if Rondo is traded, I can see Boston doing it.

I can't see a lotto team giving up a pick for Dj, the closest would be Utah who had GSW's pick as well.

hey cage, you still want to stand by your comments regarding the blazers and lottery picks?

does it really look that crazy now to suggest the blazers might not make the playoffs next season as they sit in 9th place in the west?

there is a very real possibility the blazers don't make the playoffs next season. i'd put the odds at about 50/50 right now.

People forget how competitive the west always is. Almost every year there is a west team in the lottery that would be a perineal playoff team in the east.
