Ugh. This board never ceases to amaze me. I feel people feel the need to prove Gloom and Doom just to be right as opposed to supporting the team. Some here are faux Knick fans. They get more enjoyment proving a point and predicting disaster than anything else.

You know Durant ate a hamburger and fries right before the ASG and won MVP. Soooooooooooo. lets not jump into conclusions thinking thats an everyday meal.

he doesn't need to diet, lol. he's a 6'10, 29-year-old, male, professional athlete, ectomorph/mesomorph. he's already lost a fair amount of weight this season. should be able to get back to 245 no problem just by adding a little bit of cardio.

Are you counting an ASG with regular season games when Amar'e has struggled mightly?

Better yet, Durant eating a burger and Amar'e eating one is not the same.

Im just saying that people need to stop finding any little thing to complain. Just like Durants burger right before game time did not effect his performance. ASG or not. Lets not make Amares fried chicken a reason he should be traded like many people here do.

The fact that people are complaining about Amar'e's physical conditioning -- of all things -- is beyond ridiculous. We have plenty to be upset about as fans. Amar'e's fitness is not one of them.

Don't think a little sour cream on his taters should be Stat's main concern right now. I saw a big bowl of greens in the other picture. Guy can afford good food and he should eat up.

Most of us don't think Amar'e is in basketball shape, and putting the wrong foods on his facebook page for his fans to see is not gonna help that matter.

If he was playing well there would be no issue.

That's why comparing him to Durant makes no sense, as Durant is straight having an MVP type season, and younger and lighter in body, wheras Amar'e is haevier, older, and having a poor season.

That's what really bugs me.

People calling this guy a 'liar,' like he owes them money or something. Claiming some half-assed 'movement' with the goal of running the guy out of town. Playing gotcha with every word he says to try and prove that he's some kind of flawed person.

These people can't root for the team without tearing parts of it down - and not just Stat. Melo gets his share of it, too.

I swear I'll never understand it.

In a ASG, and who? You are talking about the hottest scorer of the moment vs. the most struggling scorer of the moment who gained 20lbs for (no) reasons in the summer, and just today he admitted that he needs to make some more cardio and taking the right diets...

I've been VERY critical of amar'e this season, but he does not need to go on a diet! this is a professional athlete who is 6'10 and seems to have an ectomorphic body type! . . . he doesn't need to go on jenny craig to drop 10 pounds . . lol!

So you think a guy who hasn't played any form of basketball in 7 months would be in basketball shape?

He blamed his poor performance on the lockout himself.

Is there a reason why a professional basketball player who gets paid 100 mil playing basketball doesn't work on his basketball skills for half a year? Unacceptable...

I think Amar'e is in the top 1% of 1% of 1% of human beings ever born in this history of the planet Earth in terms of fitness.

If you and "most of us" would like to suggest that eating a gourmet meal of approximately, what?, 800 calories is contributing to Amar'e being out of "basketball shape" then good for you and good for "most of us." I personally think that's absurd.

But if you'd like to make the argument that Amar'e is returning from 7 months out of hoops (I thought it was 6), then you should talk about that. "Basketball shape" is a bullsh*t term and you're using it loosely to fit your ends. More than "basketball SHAPE," I think "most of us" can agree that Amar'e is just plain old struggling with playing basketball.

God damn my point is get off the fried chicken. Kevin Durant had a burger. Im saying do put to much into one meal.

I mean wow. When he says taking the right diets he means to continue to eat healthy.
