Not that I like players getting hurt, and not that I like the Heat, but Thank you D-Wade! You single-handlidly made our b2b2b easier on us.

First things first: A new NBA policy could prevent Bryant from playing Wednesday after a neurologist diagnosed him Tuesday with a concussion from a hard foul by Miami guard Dwyane Wade in Sunday's All-Star game.

According to the concussion policy the league implemented this season, a player must be symptom-free for 24 hours and then complete a series of steps to confirm he was healthy enough for competition. Physical exertion increases at each stage, from a stationary bike, to jogging, to agility work, to noncontact drills. If Bryant didn't experience symptoms after each stage, there would be consultation with the neurologist in charge of the NBA's concussion program before he was cleared to play.

Bryant went to see neurologist Vern Williams on Tuesday afternoon after disclosing unspecified symptoms, according to a Lakers spokesman. Earlier in the day, an ear, nose and throat specialist confirmed Bryant had a broken nose

If Kobe went to the Dr. yesterday with symptoms, it seems unlikely that he would play today according to league policy (which is good policy, btw). I guess we'll know more after he sees the Dr. today. I would hope for Kobe's sake the Lakers would be cautious and not rush him back. That has nothing to do with them playing us tonight, either. Concussions are not something to take lightly.

All people assuming he won´t play today.

We would need a good intense game to get this win. Everybody takes a step up when your star is not to play.

Bynum-Gasol is enough by itself to cause huge trouble on both sides of the floor but their reserves at C/PF position just suck. We need to get them into faul trouble as soon as possible. Milicic also to get an important role if Pek/Love result not being enough to stop them. Nonetheless I would prefer to attack them inside to see if they´re willing to risk on getting defesive fouls.

The thing I liked the most about last clippers game was seeing that Darko has stopped trying that ugly hook-shoot he used to make. I will get up at 4:30 am to watch this one... hope they make it worthy :-?

From the Lakers board:

Lakers say Kobe has been concussion symptom-free, has passed tests. Will play 2 on 2 today, be tested later to see if he can play tonight

I bet he plays even though he probably shouldn't.

When all the girls you know eat nothing but fast food for a living, you start to think an extra 40 kilos of fat is normal ;)

Last game, they put Wes on Kobe and let Ridnour guard Artest, who sucked that game.

It'd be nice to see Beasley, Williams or even Webster in the starting lineup tonight to match the Lakers' size. But I doubt it. Adelman doesn't seem to mind giving up the advantage to the opposing SG or SF (whoever Luke defends).

I would love to see Beasley replace Wes in the starting lineup. Wes should get like 6 minutes per game at this point. Why not trade him? We still have to pay him next year right?

The problem with starting Beas is then you have him, Love, and Pekovic all being black holes. No ball movement = no open shots and everyone suffers.

@LakersReporter
All signs do point to Kobe playing, but he still has to get that final approval from the doctor.

This.

I'd much rather see Martell starting over Beas..Beas seems to be getting comfortable in the 6th man spot.

Correction: #Twolves @kevinlove will be inactive for tonight's contest vs Lakers due to flu-like symptoms. His back & ribs checked out ok.
