Valanciunas' offense is really bonus. Next to a dynamic offensive player like Bargnani, we just need Val to rebound, block shots and play good defense. He's already proven to be one of the best rebounders in euro league history. What's especially intriguing is his percentages at the line, which I believe is at 88%. Sure he's raw offensively, but when you can knock down FTs at that clip as a 7 footer, then you definitely have room to improve offensively.

I never said Jonas will be Bill Walton, but all negativity from both Mufasa and Johnlac1 are just lies... Things you said, thats not even true.

How about his first step? He has one of the quickest first steps among bigmen, and it always asks for help defense to be stopped. You cant hack him since hes over 80% FT shooter, and you can't fully sag off on other players, cause Jonas is a good passer and always passes it out when unable to score.

Jonas' post moves for 19 year old are fairly developed. Hes a great finisher, his up and under is smooth and sexy. His footwork is excellent, Drop step polished near to perfection. Its funny how clumsy other bigs look by contrast, Jonas is just smooth, he used to attend dancing classes like a boss :lol:

Why some people talking about things they don't know about? The guy saw a one game and hes allknowing now, are you kidding me? Geez, he watched a single game, give that man a cookie!
You want to see him ''execute slick post moves or see him take his man off the dribble''? So watch more games, because thats exactly what he does, most of his points comes from pump fake and drive or from the post moves. How often he scores from pick and rolls and fast breaks this season? Count it for me please. Rytas barely runs pick and roll plays at all, Tyrese Rice just unable to execute it.

Bottom line, Jonas can score from mid range, face up, back to the basket and in pick and rolls.

Keep in mind, his offense doesn't need to be polished, because his free throw shooting. That's a 7 footer (7'4 wingspan) who is a good offensive rebounder who shoots 80% from the line. He'll get enough points on that alone.

He's not a saviour, but has potential to be a top 10, maybe top 5 center in the league. And a perfect compliment to Bargs.

Yesterday he made "a la Sabonis" pass in most important season game, maybe somebody will post it, Val at age 19 !!!!!!!! is doing great versus experienced pros.

Hes a good passer I think, hes not a ball dominant so his assist numbers are lacking. Because of his huge hands, its pretty easy for him to throw one-handed pass. He passes out very well when double teamed, can also pull a flashy behind the back pass or a bounce pass. Most of the bigs aren't a good bounce passers but he is.

I keep forgetting about this guy. I'm looking forward to seeing what he could do. Besides Rubio and a few others, the NBA is lacking in any young international stars.

I am disputing the ridiculous claim being made by several people here that a guy that has 15 career Euroleague games, with a 5.8 career rebounding average is, "one of the greatest rebounders in Euroleague history".

That has got to be one of the craziest claims ever made in the history of this forum. This coming from a Raptors fan.
