Also, he's fun-loving, nice guy. He grew up with Durant and was/is best friends with him. That's got to count for something.

Even though those crossovers were cool, I don't like Derrick's jumpshot form and movement. Beas seems to be a true SF. That 3 pointer over Butler was Kobe-esque.

Yes We Kahn wrote:I looked, and you actually have your numbers wrong... not that it changes the story that much

More than 20: 5-12 (Wins: DAL, SA, SA, HOU, SAC)
20 or less: 12-5

But what absolutely changes the story is the strength of schedule in those games...

Opponents' record in games won when Beas plays more than 20: .592
Opponents' record in games lost when Beas plays more than 20: .584

Opponents' record in games lost when Beas plays 20 or less: .547

and..... drum roll.......

Opponents' record in games won when Beas plays 20 or less: .418

No **** their record is better in games when he plays 20 or less

This.

As well, just plain old 20+or- minutes a night we win or lose is a dishonest stat.

Why did Beasley get more minutes on some nights?

Were we trailing and Adelman needed more offense? Were we winning win Beasley enters the game and then we give up those leads when hes playing. Are we losing when he enters, we take the lead, and then we lose after he goes out.

Williams is so much better at PF than SF.... there's the stats.... if this wasn't posted already.

I'm not sure those stats are very useful yet, they haven't been updated since the 15th, missing a lot of Williams playing time.

I think it's a no brainer. Williams. You already have your PF in Love, and Beasley is the perfect fit at the 3 spot. You also should be able to get more value out of Williams since he's only 20 years old.

Unless you feel Derrick can transition to a full time SF, but I don't see that happening.

So the latest report said the Wolves made the offer for the high Laker 1st (whichever it is). Makes sense that they get it done today, but Minny might have to throw cash in.

Let's get this bull done, I wish you guys the best of luck after the deal (not too much though).

I doubt Minny gives money in the deal. Cap relief and a late first is the asking price. Take it or leave it and go with MWP the rest of the season.

Take it or leave it right back at you with Beasley leaving in free agency.

Meh. The cap space is what Kahn wants anyway. If he can get an extra first out of it, great. If not, he'll roll with Beas the rest of the year.

Nah the cap space is fine. We'll take the TPE deal, I just think it's reasonable to ask for 3m in cash and it won't hurt Minnesota much. You guys will go get Chandler tonight and Toronto will sit there crying.

Any way you guys can help us get Sessions? Expiring contracts or something. We're a little pissed off in Laker land and desperately want to smack around OKC. Not sure if Sessions+Beasley will do that, but I think it'll help.

I think the Lakers and Celtics are both interested in Beas right now and Kahn might be playing one against the other. Just a feeling. Maybe we end up with a first round pick from one of them or maybe even Ray Allen from the Celtics.

I think Kahn is playing them against each other. Id say if Beasley is going to be traded the Lakers seems like the better option than JO? JO makes little sense i think unless Ray is also involved in the trade

Stole the idea from J Rocka but this makes the most sense:

Ray + JO for Beas + AR + Darko

I agree about playing the Celts off the Lakers. I think they both have 2 late firsts this year. Is Kahn trying to pry one or both from one of the teams?

The Minnesota Timberwolves offered to trade Michael Beasley to the Los Angeles Lakers for a first-round draft pick, but the Lakers turned them down, according to a league source.

While Beasley, a talented and athletic small forward, would fill one of the Lakers' greatest needs, the Lakers rejected the offer because they do not want to add to their luxury tax bill, according to the source.
