I was ready to drop the politics...I'll give you an example of how he effected my parents. My Mom's ideal retirement age was 55. She had all of the details worked out, all she had to do was age. Then Johnson steps in and votes for a reformation of the teaching program. A plan that consists of teachers getting paid based on the grades of the students rather than the time the teacher puts into her job(if that makes sense). Where did the money come from to help finance this proposal? The california teachers association and california teachers salaries. I KNOW that is isn't al KJ. I'm saying he's part of the problem. Please stop trying to make me look like an idiot by telling me wrong. We all have different views, mine are just a little more harsh of the Mayor. UM so yeah...GO KINGS LOL.

That isn't where the money to pay for this is coming from though. The money to pay for it is monetization of the parking to a bidder, and the city gets 9 million per year from the parking but that will be backfilled by ticket surcharges, using money from county parking garages that are downtown, and a few other things. The public doesn't spend any tax money in this deal and you don't have any general fund money diverted to be spent on it. The whole thing basically pays for itself except parking prices will go up a bit. How are you getting that teachers and police are paying for the arena? Are you just uninformed or what?

I've already said that my problem lies on the state. But what im trying to get through to you is that our elected officials (KJ) aren't helping! Do I think him alone is going to fix things? No, but he can at least help an try to fix them. Damn it, im done trying to reason with you guys because you continue to push and push... I've already stayed my opinions and backed them up, if you still can't see where im coming from than your an idiot.

We get it. We get that you do not like KJ, and that is fine, (sorry for your mom BTW).

I actually agree with RekeHavoc that the retirement problems began way before KJ. He may have not made them any better, but do you think getting a new arena and all the economic opportunities that come along with it is a bad thing? New restaurants, new construction, new opportunities.

My dad is a construction worker who has laid off for over half of last year so I look at the arena as helping out a decimated industry get back to work.
