Wall needs a post game
There is no reason for a guy with his size and skill that he shouldnt be dominating PGs in the post. Think Gary Payton or even assistant coach Sam Cassell. Sam needs to get Wall's post game together so he can post up a few times. It helps his shooting % and he can kick it out to shooters.

He got the ball on the baseline and did a dropstep turnaround hook on Nelson on a play tonight and I was thinking to myself that it looked too easy. I think its definitely something he needs to add but to his defense it looks like he's been working on his shot and his floater as the season has progressed. I'll take a post game next season.

Yes, he needs to develop a post game but it's a lower priority. For now, he needs to continue to hone his pull up jumper from the top of the key and the floater.
At some point, he'll need a post game so that other teams can't match Wall's quickness by guarding him with a smaller player. Of course, posting up your point guard only works if you have enough perimeter shooting from other positions.

That's te last thing he should worry about. Limiting turnovers and developing a jumpshot should be his priorities.

He backed down Duhon once tonight rather easily. It's something that I've been hoping to see out of him for a while. For example, the game against Isaiah Thomas would have been perfect, especially with Craw and Wall on the floor together.
I agree it's lower on his list of things to improve, but with his size it would really diversify his game.

The jumper was good today.
But I honestly think he could develop an effective post game before he develops a consistent jump shot...
He reminds me of Kidd in that way. That jump shot will come years down the road. He can become a beast (for a PG) in the post in the near future....and you're right...if he's surrounded by effective shooters...

Post game? Even if he had one how could he use it with so little shooting around him?

Another new thread when this could have gone in any of the dozen other Wall threads? IBTM.

Its just not the system anyways. Again, if he was with Eddie Jordan or someone then he would be doing most post ups and running high screens. Were doing more of it but still not nearly enough

I think Wall needs to grow back that amputated foot. It'll help his athleticism a little.
