AhaAha wrote:what about something like this: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7k4pcty

and GSW gets Phoenix first round pick

Why Orlando? We get Ellis obviously. Get a backup PF with a bad contract.

Why GSW? They downgrade on SG PF and upgrade on Center but J.Rich is on a cheap contract and Anderson will not get paid like Lee. The upgrade on center is not so big but now they got 2 quality picks for the next draft.
GS maybe a bit worse after but they get starter material players back a 1st in a good draft and cap room.

Why Phoenix? IF they dont want to trade Nash they must upgrade their roster. They get a massive upgrade at PF with David Lee. So they have 3 quality starters with Nash Lee and Gortat.
But u cant get Lee for Channing Frye and Hakim Warrick so they have to include the pick.
Now u are set on 3 positions. Amnesty Childress and upgrade SG and or SF.

Makes sense for me.

I liked it, makes sense for me too.

Remember when we had great trading assets and used them to get Hedo and J-Rich?

Solid move.

not going to happen.

Not interested in any magic player not named Dwight. That's why we are trying to get a 3 team deal going.

Gortat didnt have the trade value he has now a year ago, because he wasnt playing and people could only say potential, they didnt have even 10 straight games of proof that he could play and play well.

Don't forget the 1st rounder we gave in that trade. Jesus that was so bad.

I contend GMs knew exactly how good Gortat was. Problem was J-Rich was playing much better and his value was higher.

Rondo

Post#393 » by MCPot » Thu Mar 1, 2012 2:38 pm

Okay ... so obviously the Magic are looking to surround D12 with better talent before plan B (trading him). I'm reading from the various "sources" that the Celtics are "aggressively" shopping Rajon Rondo. If the Magic can't land Ellis ... how about Rondo? Sure would be an upgrade at the PG position that the Magic currently have. I've always loved Rondo's hustle and I believe he's one of the better PG's in the league. Just a thought as we go into this 2 week stretch that is arguably the most important in franchise history.

The first rounder that amounted to nothing?

Rondo's talent would be great! but he's a serious headcase in that locker room. Also, we don't have anything Celtics would want.

Celtics need to deal Pierce and keep Rondo.

Its impossible for GSW to get Dwight...not cause i wouldnt want some of their players...but without takin David Lee ..(why would we take him Anderson plays good for us with a cheaper contract)
they cant take any bad contracts back.
So lets say they keep Curry we dont want Biedrins and Lee.
all other players toigether make 32 mil.
Dwight+ Turk for example make 28.

As i said its just impossible

Or posturing. At this point, until something happens or the trade deadline passes, nobody knows anything.

Golden state has to be nuts to go after Dwight. They would have to give up every single thing that might help Howard stay with them in that trade. Also Orlando keeping Dwight just makes New Jersey look SO much better as a destination. If we don't take all of their assets that team is going to have Deron, a top five pick in a great draft, a solid SG, a great trade piece in Lopez or a great PF. Basically that team with Howard is a championship contender, without all their assets they would be worse than the knicks without lin.

The Warriors owner is delusional.
