Re: JUST STOP IT!!
there's definitely something going on between melo and berman. i've noticed it for a while. melo has several times answered berman's questions in the locker room by saying "i'll see what you write tomorrow about me" instead of giving an actual answer. so this is berman's way of striking back.

Hubie is the best.
I hope he does the game Sunday vs. Boston. He's absolutely in love with Lin. Love his basketball analysis.

STOP IT!! Lin will be a knick for a long time, stop getting worried. He home with us
STOP IT !! Lin cannot be stopped.
exactly... STOP IT!! with the amare and chandler for dwight.. honestly, is Dwight that much of an upgrade over chandler that we will basically have to give amare away? the magic have no one else I want, nor do they have a guy that will probably be an upgrade in our rotation...
Excellent point.
Also, trading Amare in general right now is not a good idea, because we wouldn't be getting a good value in return. I'm not a fan of selling a guy who's value is so low, unless we have real proof that his value will continue to drop. Will he ever be the same player he once was? We don't know. But he can probably be better than he has shown so far this season.

You know we really need to schedule some sort of day off for mods where we temporarily suspend everyone (including ourselves).

The history of 30+ year old athletes with back injuries is not a happy one. Enjoy Davis while his back cooperates.

Is there a way to sticky this and use it as a place for people to post things they want to stop from getting posted or written on?

Re: JUST STOP IT!!
I posted at the beginning of this thread, then went away to think about it for a while.
Knicks fans seem to have always operated under the assumption that one more trade, one more signing, one more tweak to the roster would unlock the Magic Combination for a championship. And more often than not, they've been wrong. A lot of trades and signings that we initially thought would do the trick actually ended up moving the team farther away from the goal.
Finally, the moves the front office have made have gotten this team within striking distance. This team - even with Melo, even with Stoudemire, even with Chandler - hell, especially with those three - and the cast assembled around them - look like they're poised to do some serious damage in the East.
The starters are intimidating. The bench is deep. The role players know their roles. The coaching staff seems to be getting a handle on how to manage this group of players.
All we have to do is watch them go to work.
This team is so close to hitting on all cylinders, yet people still want one more trade, one more signing, one more tweak to the roster. It'll never stop.
I'm ready to roll with what we've got here. Great things await. All we have to do - in spite of the impatience of fans and the willingness of the media to feed that impatience - is give it time.
I know giving it time isn't a popular concept around here, but time is all this team needs.

Re: JUST STOP IT!!
we somehow started the season with one of the worst benches in the league and having 0 depth being one of our main problems.. now we have a bench that could probably give some starting fives a good run, and we will need them if we want to do more than a first round stinkfest in the playoffs
