You can pad your counting stats, but your efficiency will tend to suffer. Most people seem to be pretty clear on that relationship.

Yeah, Irving's efficiency has suffered. :-?

Toney Douglas is shooting 31.8% 78/245
Kidd is shooting 31.9%
Billups is shooting 36.4%
Jax 35.7%
Odom 35.7%

Not trying to defend him, but how could Kemba get the record when there are other's doing worse???

Kemba's problem is an abysmal ability to score inside 10 feet. Yet somehow he gets to the line at a decent clip and has shot "okay" from the perimeter. It's been a strange rookie season for him.

The minute he learns to instill a floater into his game he'll at the very least shoot a decent % at his size. Probably have to work off of screens so he can hit pull-ups off the dribble in the mid-range too.

Sadly, some people still haven't figured that out. They think it is somehow easier for a guy to put up big numbers on high efficiency on a bad team, and that on a good team the same player will have lower volume on worse efficiency. I've yet to understand the logic of those people :-?

He's just gotta work on some consistency on his mid range pull up jumper. He gets some open shots due to his speed but doesn't hit them.

I think the low % has a lot to do with his crap team mates. He makes the pass, just to watch his team mate clang an ugly shot, so he tries to win it by himself and forces it. You can see he doesn't like losing.

Toney Douglas says what's good:

FG: .318 % (78-245)
3P: .235 % (24-102)

I can't believe you guys forgot about how bad he's been this year. Last year he was one of the best bench scorers averaging almost 11 with almost 2 threes a game PLUS he was playing with a shoulder injury. Now he comes into this year being the starting PG, getting more minutes, and being 100% healthy! What does he do? Play the worst basketball I've ever seen from a PG.

I dont think so. Jennings is super quick with a top notch handle. Thats one skill that he has above most of the league. Kemba has no such top 5 skill for him to rely/fall back on which is huge in regards to overall potential
Walker is just as quick as Jennings. Jennings is an inch or two taller. Plus, Jennings career fg pct. is under 40% and he's only shooting about that this year. The problem with both players is they make a lot of bad decisions. Neither is a true point guard. Jennings fg pct would probably go up if there was another better scorer or Magic Johnson-type big pt guard on the team who could take some pressure off him. And in Walker's defense, the Bobcats have a worse offense than the Bucks ( I can watch every Bucks game on tv) to work with. When Agustine and Maggette were out with injuries and Walker was the pt. guard, their offense frequently consisted of Walker dribbling around looking for a nonexistent open man and then hoisting up an illconceived shot. He does not have the pt. guard mentality. I think the Bobcat's fans have seen enough of Walker's one on five onslaughts to the basket with four Bobcats standing around watching. Again, with better scorers around him and him learning to make better decisions (I hope), Walker can be a decent pro.

Kemba is shooting poorly but he has a lot of good in his game. he is one of the few players on the roster that can create his own shot. problem is he cant finish and his shooting form is all over the place. he needs a ton of work over the summer and some roster help and i think he will be fine

This kid will be out of the league in 5 years. I'm looking at his game log and he hasn't even started his last 4 games. How the hell do you get benched on the bobcats??? His minutes are on a huge decline as well. Any cats fans care to explain that?

Rubio is even worse FG%-wise but he at least has some redeeming qualities to his game. He's a poor man's Kidd without the rebounding and an even uglier shot.

Coming from a Bobcat's fan, Kemba was Jordan's pick and Bismack was Rich Cho's pick. I'm glad they made that trade to get another draft pick. Bismack looks more like the real deal instead of Kemba at this point.

That explains it. GOAT but **** GM. He stunted my wizards for a bit too. I got no hard feelings though because at least I got to watch him play live.

I watched you guys play the Magic. I liked Jordan Crawford coming out of Xavier. But not now. I don't think I've ever seen a bigger chucker. And how Booker doing?

Yeah, Crawford sucks. Booker is alright but inconsistent like everybody else on the team, except Wall. I think Wall was in a slump just cause he didn't know who was going to bring it for him every night.

I just get depressed talking Wizards these days. The conversation usually revolves around who to get rid of, which is basically just about everybody except Wall and maybe Booker and McGee (and that's a stretch).

Yeah, I'm a big Wall fan and like Booker. I also forgot Wizards drafted Shelvin Mack.

I knew he was a glorified JJ Barea and everyone on the GB killed me for saying that.

He's not really a chucker. He's averaged at least 5 maybe more assist per turnover in the last couple weeks.

He might be a "chucker" in the sense that his FG% is low but look at some of the TS% of other Bobcats bench players

Kemba Walker 47%

Tyrus: 39% making 8 mil
Diop: 27% making 7 mil
Matt Carroll; 41% making 4 mil
Byron Mullens 49% as a center
Cory Higgins 40%

Even the starters..
DJ Augustin 51%
Boris Diaw 46%
Bismack Biyombo 49%
Gerald Henderson 50%
Corey Maggette 46%- and this is a guys that draws tons of free throws lol

to reiterate those are TS% numbers not FG%. The fact is that the Bobcats roster in general is a complete mess. The one or two guys that actually have decent efficiency are like..Derrick Brown and DJ White aka guys that can't just give you a basket. Kemba's efficiency might be bad, you say historically bad...yet he's a pretty decent scoring option for Charlotte right now..lol. To say Kemba is particularly at fault on this team is pretty (Please Use More Appropriate Word). Kemba obviously isn't a first option but at least SOMEONE to take pressure off him and his efficiency would be much much healthier. Its a rebuild. He also has a 15.5 PER, never turns the ball over, is a great rebounder for his size etc etc etc. The efficiency will come when Charlotte actually gets multiple people who can create a shot

Walkers FG will improve through the season, he's a good player...you guys are just premature to hate...these threads always come up...I remember people were calling Durant a 6"10 Crawford.

Kemba has game. He'll be better than Jameer Nelson, Mario Chalmers, and Jeff Teague...and they're all starters in the Southwest. Bet me on that.
