Biedrins kinda sucks now, but he would be fine as a backup I think.

He's getting 17 minutes a game, and posting 1.1 blocks, 4.4 rebounds, 2.2 points (shooting 61%). He will rebound, play defense and won't take Big-Baby-stupid shots. He will be a great backup.

Agreed. Very pricy backup center, but big deal. He would give us defense and rebounding at the C spot when Howard is on the bench and that is all we need. We also get Ellis and don't give up Anderson, Nelson or Redick in the process. That would be a HUGE gain for us.

Celtics start to scare me, if they can somehow get Josh Smith, along with Rondo, that could be a dream scenario for Dwight, since he would be the first offensive option (they are offering Garnett, Allen and/or Pierce).

Edit: Source (http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm) says it's from New York Daily News, so it's probably BS, also says Rondo would be apparently leaving for Utah or Lakers

Stan The Philosopher: During last night’s pre-game in Orlando, Magic coach Stan Van Gundy made an interesting comment about his players and dealing with the constant trade speculation that will surround them over the next two weeks.

“I can’t imagine being in a job that any time from the beginning of the season to the next two weeks that you can be traded anywhere,” said Van Gundy.

He went on to joke that even if he were fired from the Magic, the team would still have to pay him and he’d still live in his house. He wouldn’t have to move if he didn’t want to.

His players won’t have that luxury and he knows that no matter how much you try. The thoughts of being traded seep in from every direction and that even the best of players get rattled by it.

One Magic player joked pre-game that he had a couple of days’ worth of clothes already packed because he knows it’s more likely than not he’ll be traded in the coming days.

That’s the world a lot of guys will be living in over the next two weeks.

So when you are kicking around trade rumors for fun over the next 14 days, realize that there are people that have to physically move their families, up root their kids from school or live out of a hotel for the balance of the season to make that deal happen.

Sure that’s part of the reason these guys earn so much money, but there is still a human side to trades that gets lost in the shuffle and sometimes that gets lost in the hype of the trade deadline.

The Magic also send the Timberwolves a 1st rounder.

After this trade we could still make another one since we would have Nelson, Redick and Anderson still on the roster.

The Wolves definitely want an overpaid center too, since Milicic isn't enough. They like to have two of everything, PLUS this would limit the most improved Pekovics minutes.

This should get done NBA GMS WHERE ARE YOU?! Time to make the donuts!

This is the trade that should happen. I'm a Nets fan but figured out how you keep DH
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=85r8chl
GSW-Boston-Orlando

Celtics get: Ryan Anderson, JJ Reddick, Duhon
why- KG is old. Allen is old. the Celtics historically dont sign free agents of any value (per Bill Simmons, their last major signing was an old Dominique). Anderson, as you know has a lot of value

Magic get: Monta Ellis, David Lee
why- Monta is a legit scorer. Lee is good on offense and his defensive deficiencies would be covered by DH.. Good shooter.. just cant hit 3s like Ryan could, Impossible to get Ellis without trading Anderson

Warriors get: Kevin Garnett (buy out his contract), Jason Richardson, Celtics 2012 #1 pick, Clippers 2012 #1 pick (from BOS), Magic 2012 #1 pick, Magic 2014 #1 pick (has value, esp. if Dwight still left)
why: save a ton of money by dumping Lee's deal. They get back 4 #1 picks. Why 4? Their 2012 pick is traded to Utah but top 6 protected. If they do this trade, they tank and likely get a top 6 pick so keep a coveted pick.

KG- not sure if he can veto.. but with a buyout he can sign with the Lakers? Chicago? the Magic? (gulp)

Well they need him now w/ Z-Bo being out to produce points. Same as last year w/ Gay being out. Mayo has always been off/on the trade block for Memphis, that team is strapped for cash as is, and I don't see them retaining him after this year. Trading Mayo to get some kind of value makes sense for Memphis to do. Not saying the above trade goes down, b/c that would be an absolute steal for us.

J-Rich needs to kick rocks.....Too inconsistent and virtually brings nothing to the table that Redick can't emulate

Darko is overpaid at 4.8 million? That is pretty good for a decent center. Any way, didn't realize they had so many big men. I guess we could take Briedrins back if we move Nelson. That give the Magic a good defensive big to put on the floor while Howard is resting.

Biedrins could learn alot practicing with and against Dwight. Not saying he would be good, but he couldn't be much worse than what we got.

We may have to throw in Clark as GS is low on bigs.

Yeah we have Orton who doesn't play, LOL! Can't get much worse that that. I guess people are seeing the price tag and saying suck. Thing is Biedrins would give the Magic a legit backup big, something we really don't have right now and he would improve our defense IMO.

I'm looking at the rumor as we keep Anderson and Redick, but gain a back up big and an allstar. The only real talent going out IMO is Nelson, if he is included in the trade. If all we send out is Richardson and BDD, we flat out stole Ellis and it could happen if a 3rd team bites.

Warriors aren't moving Ellis just to dump Biedrens contract. Only thing the Magic got that would appeal to GS is draft picks-gambling on Howard leaving and they're lotto
