We're going to have to take Biedrins if we don't want to send another good player to GSW. Not saying taking him is what makes the deal, but to make the deal we need to take him.

Does anyone else feel like this is completely pointless and the FO is just going through the motions? i don't see how improving the team helps us when Dwights preferred destination is the god damn Nets. That is not a trade requested "for basketball reasons", he wants to go there for personal reasons. What Dwight is asking right now is impossible, we are not going to put a team together that can compete against Miami Chicago or OKC with the assets with have this year, after next season? yeah maybe if he stuck around that long.

I'm sure this was already posted, but great article on Martins about keeping Dwight.

That's pure speculation. The FO is under the impression that Dwight wants to stay, at least part of him. He is wavering. The FO already went through this with Shaq. They want to make sure Orlando knows they've tried everything in their power to keep Dwight. That said, they're going to make a major push here for more talent and if it fails I think I believe Martins in saying they will trade Dwight at the 25th hour. Read the realGM article on Martins recent view on Dwight. Just because some of us here think he's a goner, that doesn't mean that season ticket holders or the mass of fans in Orlando has any idea what's on Dwight's mind. They need to see we tried our hardest to keep him.

Ellis/Jameer
Redick/Wafer
Turk/Liggins/Q
Anderson/Haper
Dwight/Biendrins

I don't like that. need more role players that do other things.

This is probably Dwights fault because of his little list and trade demand, but the Magic should not be thinking hail mary moves. Really Sessions should be the main target. While not the scorer, he creates shots by being a passer. He'd make the team better. He'd get Ryan Anderson more shots, and Dwight more dunks. As a starter he gets 8 assists a game. Basically what Jameer did in the first half last night is what Sessions is capable of doing all the time. Not to mention he is 6'3, can see the floor better than Jameer. He is a high IQ player, finds the lanes and holes in the defense that this team desperately needs, but because he is not a big name in the league, Magic don't seem to be considering it.

That would solve some problems offensively. The other just as important issue is athleticism/perimeter defense. For one, just stop play Big Baby. I know Clark isn't the smartest guy in the league, but he is tall (seriously, he is taller than Dwight it seems), athletic and was giving Durant a hard time. Clark will blocks shots and he is not a bad rebounder. More importantly he runs the floor....if we got Sessions, that would be important because that is a PG that pushes the tempo. Liggins would also probably help perimeter defense, if he just played and developed. These guys aren't an answer to our athleticism problems, but it is a start. Oh, and I almost forgot the painfully obvious move....Ish Smith over Chris Duhon. Ish is a blur and has great hops, and I thought his passing was pretty decent.

I know it doesn't seem like much but it would make a world of difference having a 6'3 passing PG running this team. We still wouldn't have a scorer, but overall our offense would be good enough and we would just need to shore up the defensive problems (either through internal development of Clark/Liggins, or another trade).

The deal would be excelent for us, but he is right, we need some role players to add to this team.

Maybe we can trade Jameer for two backups (PG and PF).

Only plausible trade I can think of for Sessions, Daniel Orton, Quentin Richardson for Sessions. We'd probably have to throw in cash or a second rounder. We'd also need to find a place to send Duhon.

Sessions is nice but won't make Dwight stay

Sessions would be fantastic, but I'm sure that it'd take some time for Dwight to catch on. Actually I'd rather have Sessions than Nash for the long haul, but of course our other big baby probably wouldn't go for that...

I also like sessions but let's not overrate the guy, he's not the answer, he won't solve our offensive issues, and he's not this amazing passer, for the right price I would take him but we need more

How about Sessions and Ellis. A Match made in heaven. Ellis can swing between both positions.

Ellis can't guard wade...Ellis HAS to be the PG. And I'm starting to think that in order to get Ellis were gonna have to use our 2013 unprotected pick...high risk/high reward

I'm just discussing one of the rumored trades that was brought up; and if you read my first reply after it, you'd see that I also don't believe it. It would be a steal for us but not gonna happen (we don't get those luxuries). Instead of shooting down the poster that relayed his info, just trying to discuss it and its impact on the team....we don't have anything else to do.

i'm sure otis is itching to deal our 1st round pick this year. The fact that we still own our pick means we are going to make some kind of move.

You can after the draft has happened. You can trade 2012 pick in 2011, and after the draft trade your 2013 pick.

Yall are crazy if you think sessions can help keep dwight. Dont get me wrong, i think he cam be a valuable contributor. But you'll need to do EVEN MORE convincing just for him to trust on Sessions
