Seriously, why do the Knicks think they were "in the game"?

Post#1 » by RhapidKid » Fri Mar 2, 2012 4:48 pm

I'm talking about the last game we played them. I keep seeing comments from Knicks fans and even comments on ESPN NY with Knicks fans going "oh we competed for 3 quarters despite not playing well and with no chemistry"

Seriously? Am I the only Heat fan that got mad at the up 10 missed layups by Bron & Wade in the first and second quarter? If they had made all those layups(which were uncontested btw) it would be a huge blowout by halftime! I was really mad about those layups. We should have blown that game open right from the start.

I keep hearing NY fans saying Miami played the game "like it was a playoff game". Well SORRRYYYY! Since when did it become a bad thing that our players prepare for big games properly? Even Carmelo said that he would like for his team to prepare for games the way Miami did. We have played EVERY top team(not that NY is a top team though) with focus and seriousness(Dallas, Lakers, Clippers, Orlando, Chicago, etc).

I'm just saying, it makes me laugh when NY fans think they stand a better chance of beating us in the playoffs than Chicago. They actually think they're better than Chicago and they can knock them out of the playoffs. Funny. Funny. Very. Funny.

Maybe they need to be SWEPT again in the first round to get another reality check.

Just saying.......

You do realize that the Knicks have had no practice time with that whole team up to that point and that was the 5th game in 6 nights for the knicks. They played the Heat right after playing the Hawks the night before...Baron Davis second game, JR Smith just signed 1 game prior, Melo returned 2 games prior. Lin had a bad game too

Now they have some practice time(1 week) and some time to work all together...Just letting you know threads like this is why people jump on Heat fans.

Lets see how it goes when the Heat come to the Garden next time they play. Heat are great this year, but lets get this team some time to work with all these new faces on the Knicks. Next game vs heat should give at least a better idea on the matchup

As for reality checks, Lebron talked alot about winning 1,2,3,4,5 rings

Can he win one first?

Just saying.......

this is just asking for trolling, these types of threads don't end well. rofl some Knick fan already replied before a Heat fan can, wow.

and it's filled with excuses lol. I really wonder where the Knicks would be if Lin didn't come into the picture

Really? te;; about it! Guess what? We played a back-to-back-to-back ALL ON THE ROAD and won 'em all by double digits. Wasn't he Atlaanta game a blowout? EVERY team in the NBA this season plays back-to-back games so there is absolutely NO EXCUSE for losing. Don't give anybody that tush.

Yeah Baron Davis....like he was going to cause any kind of damage in the first place. The only valid excuse you have is JR Smith. And Lin? Lin had a bad game? Did he choose to have a bad game? Wasn't he manhandled by Chalmers & Cole? Oh and you're going to make an excuse for Melo too? LOL. yeah right.

Hey guess what? We'll go to the Garden and whoop your boys so bad in there. That is actually one of the BB Arenas that players love to shut up the most. You had Jordan tearing it to shreds back in the day, now its Lebron doing it. I'd be surprised if he doesn't have a 35 point double double.

Come back and talk to me when your team wins ONE playoff game. Not the series, just ONE game. When last was that btw? LOL

All the gloating and boasting and everything before that game. It felt so good to see them come back down to the planet we all know as Earth. Linsanity DOES NOT exist in Miami. Take that note, Knicks fans.

I know how you feel. But not only is it a week late to talk about this, it will just bring in Knicks trolls to stink up the place. They went from "THEY SCARED NOW", to "TRADE MELO AND AMARE", to "LIN IS BETTER THAN D-ROSE AND WILL TAKE US TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP" to "WE WILL BEAT THE HEAT IN A 7 GAME SERIES WITH WORSE CHEMISTRY THAN THE HEAT AND LBJ HAVING THE BEST SEASON EVER". the Knicks 2nd unit is actually better than their starters at times. Unless Melo and Amare get in shape, they won't make it to the ECF this year.

It's called being delusional, whatever the outcome would have been you would still hear Knicks fans trying to twist it around.

Like even if the Heat won by 20, you'd still hear them say "LOL they should have beaten us by 25, no practice, Lin had a bad game" (despite Lin admitting this was the best defense he played against thus far).

Also notice how they always try and compare the Knicks to Heat, like"well the Heat went 9-8 and ended up winning 55+wins it's just a learning process" or "Heat were down 20 and came we did also"...ignoring the fact that Knicks/=/ Heat and the teams they faced were cupcake and still are like 1 game over 500(2nd half of the season against multiple top echelon teams).

last thing I will say is this, they had the easiest schedule out of everybody (one of the easiest anyway) and they went 17-18. The next month will be interesting.

This is the month where teams see where they really stand. Then April for improvement and getting ready for the playoffs.

I know its a week late, but that's why I'm posting it now. On almost every ESPN NY radio show, they refer to that game and twist it around in some way. I have heard numerous excuses, its just funny. As much as I hate Chicago, I don't deny that they're a very close second best to us in the East. Its funny how Knicks fans just say they'll beat Chicago because they only have Derrick Rose. I don't even want to start going into all their delusional talk. I just can't wait to see them get SWEPT in the playoffs

*that's right Knicks fans, you read that right. SWEPT*

Why does it really matter to you?

Be content with your own team, and let the outsiders be as they want to be.

False bravado did no one any good - let them be.
