You know, what's really weird is that Kemba is VERY good. He will eventually get back on track
.
Jennings went from 37% to 39% to 41% now. Still bad, my god, very bad, but he's improving.
Westbrook went from 39% to 42% to 44% to 46% this season.
John Wall went from 40% to 42% in a single season.
James Harden went from 40% to 43% to 47% this season

Not everyone has a great season as a rookie. You people need to be patient. In 2 or 3 years, he'll be a 45 FG% player with nice numbers

Forgive the rant, but if I was a moderator I would perma-ban anyone who uses FG% instead of eFG% and TS% to describe a guard's efficiency.

How does this topic still have legs when Rubio is the one shooting worse?

I actually love having him on my team. %'s are less meaningful when volume is accounted for. I managed to get bigs that shoot a high volume of shots (Dwight, Gortat and Monroe) and hit over 50% and it definitely helps average it out.

Plus when he goes off, he goes off and fills the stat sheet so he's worth it.

Steals, assits, blocks, he can do it all when he's on the game. He just needs a consistent shot.

He's going to be a good player, maybe not an All-Star, but a solid starter.

Kemba had one of the 15 smallest standing reaches the DX combine has measured. He, Nate Robinson and Isaiah Thomas all measured at 7'7.5". Not only was he small, but he was short armed too. The difference between Kemba going 9 and Isaiah 60 comes down to Kemba's head being 2 inches taller, which basically makes no difference compared to arm length

Basically one of the smallest players of this generation and wasn't a great shooter (this is the KEY part of undersized PGs succeeding), and wasn't really a PG.

And you wonder why some of have doubts about the Fordian rankings and "Draft consensus".

Can't overlook the fact that he's on one of the worst teams in NBA history... that might have something to do with it. Also can't overlook the fact that the league as a whole is shooting a lower %.

I'm going to give him another couple seasons before I pass final judgement.
