Yeah, I had a problem with some of the things Smart was doing in this game.

When the other teams has Griffin and Kenyon Martin as their bigs, good lord, you go to Cuz every damn time in the post.

At the same time, Cuz's shot selection was abnormally bad this game. Just because he can make that step back perimeter J better than almost every big in this league doesn't mean he should ever, ever take it. Get down on the block, son. Especially when the other team is playing two PFs.

Otherwise, I would say the D on jump shots needs to be better, and it does. But like, they also just made a ton of shots tonight.

I think what we're starting to see with Tyreke is just an inherent problem with him. He's ineffective in different ways when on and off the ball.

I still think we just don't run enough plays for him.

I want to see Tyreke just being forced to run in the halfcourt and get himself into positions to score.. that will wake him up and fire him up.

He's so strong that he can really do wonders running through picks and slashing from the elbow to get the ball on the move or make the move to the rim himself.

We also just have to let Smart watch some Demarcus tape from last year with his passing from the high post - we need that at times like a breath of fresh air, and it prooved to be a great option for us last year with the exact same players(Marcus, Tyreke).... it just seems like all the plays are not for Demarcus to pass but to score - and so guys don't really cut hard enough like they did last year when they knew it's gonna be an easy bucket for them.

I can hardly remember Demarcus passing from the post this year at all, that cannot continue to happen.

And lets be honest, Isaiah got his butt kicked by CP3. It was a good learning experience for the mighty mite.

DMC absolutely needs better shot selection. In no circumstance outside of shot clock winding down situations should he be taking threes. I hate seeing him 18-19 feet away from the basket trying to create; kid, you're a good ballhandler for your size, but thats just too much distance you need to go to the rim. DMC is much, much more effective in the 10-14 ft area where he can face up in triple threat position, he can back his man down, or find cutters. That being said, that midrange J was there for him the entire game off of IT and Tyreke's penetration, but he keeps pump-faking and diving into a wall of bodies... just not smart.

Speaking of Smart, the coach continues to baffle me with his substitution patterns. He keeps the starters on for the entire quarter, and then rests them the entire second... then barely plays them again in the second half. He needs to sub out earlier and get hte starters back earlier in the fourth to close the game. Jimmer and crew should be coming in late third, not early fourth.

I would like too see the cousins that played in the jazz game where he was doing his damage in the paint using that speed and bulk to score down low than taking all those jumpers.. He should establish his post game first to open that range game (which he shouldn't be dependent on)

The way smart subs and gives minutes is just weird and kills any momentum that we might have... He played the starters the whole 1st qtr then 1-2 min in the 2nd he subs them out.. He should also know his players much better! There was a point when cuz had 3 fouls the clipper commentators was even saying this woul be the time i would be taking cuz out cause he has 3 fouls and he seems tired... And tired players tend to reach and foul... Minutes later cuz got his 4th foul...

The bench actually played real well in the 2nd though. I thought the 2nd half the rotations kind of sucked, don't get why Cuz didn't play much in the 4th quarter. Having a post presence would've helped.
