Jim Buss's BFF our NEW Scout

Post#1 » by PurpleBlood24 » Fri Mar 2, 2012 12:19 am

Haven't been on here in awhile, saw this article on yahoo....

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-ball-dont-lie/shedding-light-jim-buss-role-laker-front-office-191904083.html;_ylt=AoU9srmahBEl_gLahXcFFRe8vLYF

If there's any merit to this story, I'm sorry to say, I'm worried about my Lakers. How are you gonna let go a 20+ experience scout (Lester) and put in an incompetent piece of ****.

my sentiments exactly. I've been a defender of the Buss family for a long time. Hell, they've guided the Lakers to something incredible like 15 Championship appearances in ~30 years of ownership. However, I think the Buss's get too much credit for the success (when it should be equally shared with the GM, coaches, and players) and not enough blame for the terrible trades and non-trades with their fingerprints all over them (see shaq and odom trades and keeping Bynum this long). Jim Buss has a lot to prove come the trading deadline. I hope it all works out...

However, having said all of that, should the CP3 trade have gone through everyone would have been clamoring about what a genius he is... So I guess it's tough to say right now, but I'm weary of the direction we're headed.

I'm really hoping for Phil Jackson so marry Jeanie and take over. Jim has made a lot of big mistakes so far.

And everyone from Kareem to LO to Shaw to Kobe to Phil's championship winning staff has been treated like ish.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

Can't blame Jim much for this. Who hasn't hired their BFF for a job in a company or business that you run?

If I was running the Lakers, I'd hire Doc to run the finance, Ty to scout for the draft, Phil to work out and train the players with Gary Vitti, Snaq to pick the Laker girls, Deep as an assistant GM, Jay/Steph to play the music during games, Danny for live performances and entertainment manager, Gek as designer and maintain the Lakers website, and Jetset to clean the restrooms. You know I'd find all you other guys jobs too. ;)

can't find drewbynum77 on your list. I would be a great shooting coach.

I would fix Artest's shooting problem or die trying.
