Just showed his numbers as a starter & he's averaging close to 19 points & 13 assists this year.

Magic Still Trying To Sign Dwight Howard, Not Trade

Post#1202 » by 15yearmagicfan » Sat Mar 3, 2012 12:55 am

Now THATS what I'm talking about.

http://tracking.si.com/2012/03/02/magic ... &eref=sihp

Orlando Magic CEO Alex Martins told Yahoo! Sports that they are still attempting to convince center Dwight Howard to sign a long-term deal with the club, and have not yet begun the process of preparing to trade him.

Howard made headlines prior to the season when he requested that the Magic trade him. Prior to that demand, the three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year stated that if Orlando is unable to surround him with a championship caliber team, that he would opt out of his existing contract and become a free-agent this offseason. The Magic made the decision not to move Howard in December with the hopes that they could convince him to stay.

Howard is averaging 20.2 points, 15.0 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game this season for the 23-14 Magic.

Hey so if Ramon is our franchise savior, how come he's never been a starter?

They've been saying the same thing for months, weeks, days... nothing has changed. Doesn't mean a damn thing because after they talk and talk over the next couple weeks, Dwight may still say he wants out and they probably need to make a trade to convince him. A separate thread is unnecessary. Those tweets were already discussed in the speculation thread...

Why did Billups become Detroit's savior since he sucked all before then?

Spoke to Warriors coach Marc Jackson...told me nothing to trade rumors of Monta Ellis....wants him to stay with Golden State...

btw... didn't Marc keep Monta on the bench a couple times late in games this season, which made Monta unhappy? ... Doesn't sound like a coach who likes Ellis to me.

So now we're willing to risk the future of the franchise on the off chance that this kid eventually becomes as good as Billups? If that can happen then Monta can come in and do the same thing.

edit: Monta would be such a game changer for us. PnR w/ Dwight would be nigh unstoppable

What I'm getting at is please keep it in the speculation thread unless something noteworthy/new actually happens. They've been saying the same crap in interviews all week (all season really). No need to fragment the trade conversations when it's the exact same topic that's being discussed in the spec thread. :)

Edit: yay, threads merged.

Of course we would like Monta here but it doesn't look like that's gonna happen.

We are saying that Sessions IS somebody who we could actually get & not just hope & pray for.
