I kinda agree with you but, only if Harper is a good player, or, if we get Frye back with Nash.

Say trade talks with GSW didn't work out. Those saying they would only put Ryan on the block for Ellis would actually turn down a deal with Phoenix and leave Howard's fate to the gods?

Ryan shouldn't be untouchable in any context if you're goal is to keep Dwight. If you are going to include him in a trade, then you obviously need to take his value into account. You don't just send him to the Suns if Nelson, Redick and picks are already on their way. But crossing him off completely is just killing possibilities. We're in no position to do that with Howard with one foot out the door.

If the Nash or whoever experiment doesn't work out and Dwight still leaves us in the cold then we are screwed either way, whether we have Ryan or not. We will be able to move on and rebuild without him anyway. What matters is you gave yourself a chance to keep Dwight.

Agree with this too... but, hopefully we just find a way to keep "Mr. PER" here with one of Nash or Ellis or anyone really.

He's not untouchable, but I wouldn't trade him for 39 y/o Steve Nash.

38. he should still have 3 years left in him, if he wants to continue playing.

The only untouchables are Dwight & STUFF

If the right deal/player is available, I'd trade Ryno in a heartbeat

Well, unfortunately, Howard might also not be an untouchable.

He's not untouchable, because there are definitely scenarios in which he should be moved, but he's reached the stage where anyone we get back for him should be a low risk, high reward, surefire type player. We definitely shouldn't be using him in a "roll-the-dice" sort of deal.

I wouldn't consider him flat out untouchable, but if you're gonna trade him, you better be damn sure you're winning that trade. We're not exactly loaded with young talent, and that's on top of Dwight possibly leaving. If you trade Ryan *and* lose Dwight, that's a certifiable disaster.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Ryan Anderson is untouchable?? Anyone would have got shot if they said that before the season. I mean, the guy is having a good season, but he is FAR from a perennial all star. Trade whoever to get Dwight some help Otis. If he doesn't do anything here I'm gonna be so pissed

I don't know. I don't like the idea of trading Ryan in order to keep Dwight and then being stuck with a team of Dwight + Nash/Ellis + nobody. It's like we're trading our last chip for another Vince, someone that might be good on the roster but you don't trade big for them. They certainly aren't the star solution Dwight is looking for, and there's no point in gutting the roster before Dwight's departure just for the sake of doing it.

You think Otis looks dumb now, think about him trading Ryan and then Dwight leaves anyway.

Ryans "break out" season just happens to be the year he's playing for a new check....

I don't think he's doing this because he's on a contract year. he's just getting more time, and, he's also improving every year.

If you plan to match any offer thrown at him in the summer, Ryno's untouchable in my eyes.

I don't think he's untouchable, but he's close, and only because of Dwight's situation. If Dwight is gone I'd like Ryan here. If Dwight stays I'd like him here but would be willing to part with him for Ellis. I wouldn't give him up for Nash and don't think the Suns would ask for him despite any trade rumors that say they would. I wish I could go into the future and see how Steve Nash works with Dwight in our system and then make a decision, cause part of me worries Nash doesn't make Howard much better.

He may not be untouchable but "touching" him (umm so to speak ) could lead to a near nightmare scenario -

Dwight won't commit until there is a trade and he can still choose to not commit after the trade so you could end up giving up Ryan for a player that though might be good is not as good for a rebuilding team
