Moofs,

Zaptasblood offers a plausible destination that Kobe might have arrived at, where Jordan never dared venture before... Kobe might still win at something.

There is a divorce joke here. I will not do it. WILL NOT. IT IS WRONG. But that picture is a punchline that writes itself.

See how fast you can scroll through the charts and point out teams by how red and green they are.

About 6-10 teams really stick out... (Miami, Charlotte, etc)

Gotta feel sorry for the Bobcats. They're just a sad team.

1% chance of beating OKC.
1% chance of beating Dallas.
1% chance of beating Miami.

I wonder what the percentages are if they were to play against D-League teams.

Good grief! I just checked on apartments at City Center (T&C Mall), rent for a 650sqft starts at 1900, with rents moving up to 3000 for a 2 bdrm! I was expecting maybe 1400/1700 for a nice apartment there, possibly as low as 900-950, after having paid 625-715 to live in some decent apartments right next to Rice, but 3000 a month is like paying the note on a $300k house!!! Who would RENT something like that???

My mind is in some sort of mathematically chaotic purgatory right now trying to wrap itself around silly decisions some people are apparently able to make... I .. are.. are the people living there just building up massive amounts of debt to temporarily fund some inflated, ego-fulfilling lifestyle or something? I can't see any way in which living there could be financially viable. Someone would have to make at LEAST 5000 a month in aggregate before even considering it... (and the 650 monthly note on the BMW 5 series that I would presume they would also "rent" probably wouldn't help anything...)

Am I just completely out of whack on this evaluation, or what.. how? Can someone throw me a bone toward rationalizing this? I flat don't get it.

My best guess is that a pair of friends each make 60k and share an apartment, bringing home about 3500 a month would split the rent, leaving them each 2000 a month. They'd likely pay 500-800 on a car note/insurance after that leaving them 1500-1200 for lifestyle per month. At least that's my guess...
