I voted Crawford because his threes extended the lead in the fourth.

Honorable mention to Blatche for coming back and rebounding and finding the open shooter.

Vesely really settled things after Jamison was torching Booker early.

It's a bonus when Mason and Evans combine for scoring and leadership off the bench. This game makes me hope the Wizards can find a team willing to give a 2nd round pick for Nick's Bird Rights.

We can only hope. Anyone know when Turiaf is due back?

Anyway, for me POG goes to Crawford.

I voted for Crawford. 5-11 from 3 is pretty big.

Honorable mention to Varejao for missing the game. He averages 11.5 rebounds per game. Without him the Wizards were actually able to outrebound the Cavs.

Probably Crawford - though his overall game was lacking. Ya gotta get to the line more than once when you take over 20 shots.

Wall and it's not close. Crawford made shots -- many of them ill-advised -- and did nothing else. Wall was the best player on the floor.

+1

The steal and block at critical times in the last few minutes sealed it for me. Those were epic, no f-ing way we're losing this game moments.

It was a very cool game to watch, fun to see Wall vs Irving, and to see Jamison. Jamison would actually be real nice to have on this team with his proven vet leadership and character, his rebounding and ability to score and shoot the 3. I'd much rather have him instead of Lewis that's for sure.

After watching the recorded game I'm going with.

Wall - he stepped up a lot, ran the show and closed the game.
Ves - his energy was all over the court and helped slow down AJ after 15 in the first quarter.
Crawford - yeah, he lit is up.

Honorable mention to

Mason who came in on fire and hit 4-4 to really open things up. 8-10 from the line.
Dray who grabbed 9 rebounds 21 min w 5 assists
McGee 12 rebounds in 25 min4 blocks

They looked pretty good as a team and I expect to see them play more like that moving forward as long as Nick isnt out there. Getting Dray back is going to help them as long as he stays focused on what he did last night. Rebounds and post n pass. As long as he isnt trying to be a star, he can help a team win.

Yeah but we got Lewis to get ride of Gil so Lewis is actually very valuable in that regard. He was a huge part in hitting the reset button.

Wall may have been the best player on the court, but Crawford made the clutch shots when the game got tight in the 4th quarter. So he's my POTG. As for Crawford's ill-advised shots, that's just who he is, for better or worse. Fact is, last night most of those ill-advised shots went it...which has pretty much been the case the last couple of weeks.

Over the last five games, Jordan is shootng 56% from the field, 47% from 3-pt. range, and averaging 24 pts. Not bad for a chucker.

And his 10 game numbers are

29.5 mins .470% 3.0 rbs 3.4 assists 18.4 pts

And in those 10 game the 2 oldest games (about to come off the books) were both 2-12 games with 6 and 4 pts. So if over the next two games he can post just average numbers, those numbers are going to get closer to his 5 game numbers.

No doubt Crawford has been producing. I think a lot of posters over state the chucking thing. He is a scorer. He shots. So what. Wall needs a scorer out there with him. At least he can dribble and pass. I think Crawford and Mason getting more minutes is going to help get this team to the next level because that was one of their biggest weaknesses with Nick starting at the 2.

As someone who has been all over posting about getting him into the starting position, I still would give it to Wall though but it is close as the voting is showing.

During the game, they showed footage of the inside of Antawns old locker (which is now John's), and there's a poster of the Larry Obrien trophy still pinned up from when AJ occupied it. Steve and Phil were talking about when Wall was drafted, AJ told him to deliver to DC what he couldn't. Total class, always liked Antawn.
