I don't understand why Scott Smith/Lumumba Sayers gets higher billing that either Kaufman/Davis or Fodor/Healy but I am still pysched about this card.

Saling's a **** Nazi. "88" (Heil Hitler) and "White Pride" on his stomach.

"White Star" not "White Pride". But 88 and lightning bolts.
His opponent came out to Young Jeezy. Haha.

Strikeforce loves a good slugfest. They also think very highly of Scott Smith...for some reason.

Had I known you were going to ask, I'd have never gone to Taco Bell tonight.

What bizarro world was that fight fought in? Misaki out-striking Daley, and Daley out-wrestling Misaki. Odd.

What a great fight. Welcome to the modern era of women's MMA. That was some high level grappling.

Re: Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey (March 3rd)
As a guy, Rousey's probably the only woman I'd actually be terrified of facing in the cage (steroid-filled Wanderlei Silva in a wig aside)
At the same time, major props for Tate. I dunno if there are too many men out there who'd rather have their elbow torn than tap.

Re: Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey (March 3rd)
Rousey's a cold women, cot damn. The armbar aside, she was able to toss an experienced grappler with no problem - a 1/4 of a headlock, and WHOOSH! With such little power in the hands of most other women, she's only got Cyborg to worry about. No one can stop her before she gets to a clinch. And the transition from back mount to armbar was so deep - you often see fighters slip off, but she transitioned straight into a deep deep lock.
Her against Cyborg will be amazing 10 or so months from now.

Women have equal or better pain tolerance than men, that's pretty well established. With straight joint locks, they'll generally be able to hold longer.
Eating punches is a CNS thing, rather than just straight pain.

The thing is who knows how Cyborg will be... but if the riods were the reason why she was able to make such massive cuts after the weigh in and at a lower weight.

Re: Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey (March 3rd)
not sure if softcore porn, or elite female grappling... what a fun fight. i'm kind of torn whether to blame miesha more for not tapping or the ref for not recognizing an arm being bent 25 degrees in the wrong direction. regardless you have to congratulate rousey. what a performance by a truly elite female athlete.
misaki winning was awesome. one of the old pride guys showing he still has it. daley has great offensive boxing but no defense. that doesn't mean he has good boxing. i think he underestimated misaki for sure.
i really don't want to see thompson vs melendez 3... and how did nick diaz not completely blow noons out of the water the second time they fought.
missed the jacare fight but congrats on the submission. he is one of the world's best in that area.

One thing is for sure, Rousey looked a lot sexier at 135 than she ever did at 145.

150ish is prolly her walking weight, and I am sure her cut was 6 or 7 lbs for this fight... so she looks a whole lot um... tighter...
