seriously, i think it's time to give Duhon some SERIOUS consideration for a vest.

his performance wasn't flawless, nor was it as impressive overall as Dwight/Hedo/Meer/JRich/etc, BUT, on a scale, Duhon played well beyond his standard tonight, and he came through right at a moment when the team was struggling to find some shooting rhythm. Duhon's scoring at the end of the 3rd and start of the 4th were the spark this team needed.

Duhon gets my vote tonight. with a big nod to the entire team for 2nd place.

If anyone was watching NBA TV for the game and then they flipped it over to the hawks and thunder game you see that it is utter BS they couldnt miss last night than Durant and Westbrook brick there last three shots with the hawks basically trying to give the game away so frustrating!!!
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

eyriq wrote:As much as I've been hating on SVG's rotations I have to say that this team isn't really designed to compliment Anderson as our 2nd best player and core piece. Look at how we've invested money in our bench; $25,700,000 in PF BBD, $10,000,000 in PG Duhon, and $12,940,000 in SG Redick. Only $7,882,200 in our backup SF QRich, and of course Howard is a staple and will be playing 38 mpg. So your bench lineup is going to be Duhon/Redick/Hedo/Baby/Dwight; the team is designed with Hedo as our 2nd best player. I think that for our chemistry to get right Otis is going to have to get the bench right, and that will start by shifting some of that bench money into positions that actually fit the talent in our SL. Baby and QRich for SJax would be a nice start.

dude you have no idea how much i've been trying to get that point across....i did it as $olid$nake and now that i'm Childish i'm sticking by it....Ryan as it stands now IS our second best player but we don't have any designed plays to get him going if the run of the mill pick and roll game isn't working....when teams want to put a body on him he can easily be taken out of the game.....

Stan has to do a better job of getting Ryan involved more in other ways than just setting screens and being a decoy...it somewhat works but it's like you have a Lamborghini but you drive like you're in a school zone....Stan has to find ways to FULLY utilize Ryan to that he can be harder to guard and more of a factor especially in the playoffs if he's still around that is....

I cant that second unit is what got us in to a hole in the first place Duhon was still Duhon except he made some shots one was a Jamal Crawford "are u kidding me shot" when u have balanced scoring and Dwight dropping 28 and Anderson Jameer and JRich all around 16 Jameer with how ever many assists he finished with u cant give duhon credit for this win

Loved Hedo's game tonight. 16-5-9 on great percentages is more than enough from him.

If had to guess, whenever hedo gets 15-5-5, it is gonna be a win. hedo only gets his numbers when the team plays well OR the team plays well because he gets his numbers. either way, when hedo gets to 15, i stop worrying.

There was a very recent segment of True Hoop where they pointed out SF's that produce 16-4-4 being very rare but also some of the best pieces to build a winning team around. Food for thought for the Hedo haters imo.

A 16-4-4 SF paired with a dominant center had the highest correlation with winning if I remember correctly.

Read that too Sf's like hedo and iggy and lbj are better to pair with howard then chris paul or derron williams. interesting stats

Thanks for that. I just read the actual paper that was linked from that article. I was interested in seeing the actual effect sizes for the individual combinations. Sadly, there is no such information. It's an interesting paper, and there seems to be some great contributions in there, but it's hard to say how much of a relationship exists. Honestly, the effect size could possibly be quite insignificant in a practical sense, so it's hard for me to get too excited without seeing the numbers that actually matter. It's quite weird, though, that the appendix reports the stats but not the stats one would normally be interested in to evaluate the conclusions appropriately. I suppose different fields have different reporting conventions. But this brings me to another thought.

Judging by their regression models and methods (look at all the predictors in the model and their reliance on unstandardized weights to make their interpretations!), I'd think there would be quite a bit of error in conclusions reached. Even standardized coefficients would likely not be completely accurate in a model like this. Anybody interested in why may wish to read up on authors like LeBretton and Budescu.

Anyone can make the vest thread!

Was a solid enough game, starting and closing well, really liked the energy in the 4th, everyone showing a bit of hustle, but with slippery fingers at times.

Hedo had a great game though, just got the sense when he nailed that 3 at the end of the 1st half we were going to pull it out, but he definitely made that 4th quarter tick.
