You still pull the trigger if Iguodala can get you Bynum...second best big man in the game is hard to acquire.

Shouldn't a fantasy trade make the team better???

Well, I really wouldn't trade Turner for him but the second trade works & would allow Detroit to unload his salary. I can't see how he would be any worse than Meeks has been this year& let's face it Nocioni, Battie & Brackins are just a waste of space.

If you can get Bynum, for any player on the Sixers. You do it. He is a franchise center. Plus he has only one year left on his contract. Iggy for him. Done deal.

I don't see how those two thoughts are added together with a plus.

He's awesome!
&
He could leave soon for zero compensation!

And????? That made no sense. You are paying alot of money for a player that has gotten hurt in the past. But his upside is huge.

Still, you alluded to the fact that the potential of him leaving us after 1 year was a positive thing.

Actually its not a horrible thing that he has one year left. It could be a contract that Amare has. Where you trade for a player that is very good and would make you a better team. But if he does go down with a knee injury, you aren't stuck for 3-4 years at huge money. To get a player that can be a game changer in the league like a Bynum. You sometimes have to take a risk. If that means losing Iggy for him so be it. We have a replacement on the bench that isn't getting minutes anyway.

I agree. Passing up Bynum would be a huge mistake.

Too bad it's not happening.

At least the positive from no trade is that the Voosh & Lavoy gets plenty of time developing?

If Thorn stays pat again, I will go stab myself.

It is true that these players are gettting plenty of playing time. I see Vucevic as a 4 in this league and Allen as a 5. If by some stroke of luck that we could acquire either one Gasol or Bynum of the Lakers. The Sixers would be legit.

OK...I'm going to yet again feed the rumor fire.
I'm hoping by sometime during the upcoming week a rumor pops up about us being interested in....
Tyreke Evans.

Evans is rumored to be on the trading block. Kings seem to feel that his play has regressed in the last two years and Keith Smart is not using him effectively any more. With Smart being locked into next season the Kings are looking to deal Evans for an already established player. In other words they want equal value.
I know Evans isn't a knockdown shooter but he can get to the rim at will and is a good scorer. Philly local star comes home would be great for me personally.

Here is the link take it for whats it's worth.

Here is another link from another source

I put this in the rumor thread because thats what this is....Evans I think would fit in nicely as the starting 2guard here.

i like tyreke evans..but he is yet another guy who isnt really a shooter, and thrives best with the ball in his hands...we can say the same for holiday, turner, iggy, and lou.

evans is not a good fit here. he is essentially the same player as all the guards and small wings we have now, with maybe a bit more scoring ability.

Just Turner for Evans straight up is not a good move, Tyreke is essentially a better scorer, but needs the ball in his hands to be effective, kind of like what we thought Evan Turner would play like. If you want Tyreke, we would need to move Jrue/Andre or add other shooters to compliment him. I am not against the move though, because I like Tyreke's game, just not necessarily a good fit with Jrue/Andre together on the floor at the same time.

Tyreke Evans? Talented player and all, but do they really need him and his baggage? Especially, bringing him close to home?

I hear the name Tyreke Evans and I get bad vibes.

Agree...local kid with rumored baggage is risky. Another playmaker who can't shoot doesn't fit either.
