We always play well against the Bulls. We've never seen them with Rip though.

We shut down Rose last time we played them but that was largely due to his hobbled form. He's gotten alot healthier since then and he got his two wing partners back. This is going to be really hard for us to win.

Graphic's up. Didn't get to do nearly as many as the changes to the template as I planned, but look out for them over the next couple game threads.

The reality of tonights game....

I don't expect any free big macs tonight in this one....
Until we can hold our own late in the games and close out these elite teams we play, the result will be the same revolving door.

We have proven we can hang with the elite teams of the league but we have to find a way to win in the guts of the game. Like it or not Louis Williams is our go to guy in those late stages and being third only behind Durant, and Bryant in fourth Q scoring puts him in some respectable company, so i'm not sure what all the complaining is about.

We have imroved since last year and that was one of the expectations, so lets ride this out and enjoy our competitive team. Ive meditated on this for quite a while (longer than I should have), and i've come to grips with the reality of Evan Turner and the other reality Jodie Meeks. The fact is that Doug Collins is doing his absolute best right now with what he has, and I don't think there is another coach in this league currently employed that could do a better job. As far as Evan Turner goes and all the crying and bickering we have done about him. The conclusion to the entire debate is that he is simply not ready for the big time yet. That doesn't mean he wont someday get it but don't expect it to be this season with the way things have gone.

As for Jodie Meeks being our shooting guard...Well he's done exactly that..Gone out there, played his ass off, and shot the ball when open. He is deservedly our starting shooting guard at this point and that will not change until we replace him with a more dynamic scorer or Evan Turner decides to learn how to shoot better. We need a floor spacer out there and Jodie happens to be that guy, so I back him fully.

The five game funk really put a hurting on our faith in this team but it's behind us now, and as a true fan of this team I will continue to support them through wins and losses. Once again we face a formidable opponent and I don't expect us to get a win tonight but I do want to see us fight till the end. Afterall this is Philly and thats what we do.

And I hope we can get a good laugh at the expense of Joakim Noah for a little while.

I had watched a little bit of the Womans Baylor team the other day and could not believe Joakim Noah found the time to play center for them too.

My only reply to your post is that everyone on this board except a few cares about growing this team and it's youth. Yet the coach cares about winning as many games as possible while hurting player development. He leans on Lou who is as good as he'll get and Brand who is broken down and on his last year with the team. How is that growing the team? Both players may be gone from this team next year.

I'm not saying Turner's play deserves more minutes. I'm saying since the team drafted him as the #2 pick and just expects him to not make mistakes their kidding themselves. They need to go with the ups and downs. It would be like benching a qb in the nfl for 3 games every time he threw an int. How many seasons would you sit through that? 2-3 seasons of full time action is the way to know if Turner can excel at this level.

Brand, our best interior defensive presence.

Lou, our best natural scorer.

You don't put them on the floor enough, we will drastically suffer from it.

Winning is the only way to improve and grow your players. Who wants to play a lot but the team keeps losing?

If you can't take the heat, then you need to go find some other team to play for.

This isn't some developmental league we are playing.

expecting a loss... hoping for a win obviously

our bench is going to have to outscore theirs in a big way to have a chance to win

jrue has to play a good game offensively and defensively

Like every national TV game...I only ask for us to not get destroyed or choke.

Keep it close, get Rose'd and move on.

Hoping for a win of course.

I wonder if AllStaradala will still show up.

Spin moves outta nowhere

This will definitely be a tough game to win especially since Chicago is fully healthy for this meeting. I still expect our boys to come out fighting and I wouldn't be surprised if we win. As for Turner I think we all wish he was a better player at this point and I'm sure Doug is itching for him to get him some meaningful minutes, but he's just not ready. I believe there's a method to Doug's madness and he wants to win as bad as we all want the 76ers to win.

If Evan Turner isn't playing a lot, it's because he's not good enough. Getting minutes during important games is not the only way to improve. Did Jeremy Lin get extended run in order to improve his game? No, he did it on his own during the offseason and in the D-league, and thereby earned his minutes because he performed when called upon. Turner needs to keep improving before he should expect more minutes.

About the game, after the terrible last stretch before the GS game, they NEED to win tonight.
