I'm sold. Val and Bargs running and reaching circles around every opposing frontcourt will be fun to watch. Euro Towers FTW.

A couple of dunks on some scrubs at the start of the season and he will be titled the next coming of Hakeem. Raptors fans need to relax a little bit.. It's a long way there.

It wasn't good, the best dunk was by Weems from the free throw line.. LKL dunk contests used to be way better than now, dunks from free thwor line weren't the best ones :)
Btw, about that guy, I was few meter away from basketball and recorded that video :) I still feel sorry for that guy :)

I watched it live too. Still beat the hell out of the NBA contest this year but it did start to resemble an NBA dunk contest halfway though with all the do overs. Haha crazy coincidence you recorded that, the funniest moment I've ever seen in a dunk contest.

It's just a sign of supporting another Rytas player - Seibutis. It's used by our local dj, who works for a local radiostation, which is sponsor of Rytas this year, to support Seibutis. He always does it with the same sign, which means something like "Let's go Seibutis", but in different original ways, like this one (dressed as a referee): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZ7zCNyXx2w

Because he was at the radio station once and they came up with an idea, that dj will try to catch Seibutis attention during the game and Seibutis will show some kind of sign that he noticed this.

Btw, Seibutis could be 2nd best Rytas player after Valanciunas this year. He averages 11.8, 13,1 and 15.1 points in 3 leagues this year (VTB, LKL and Eurocup accordingly). Definately not a chucker. We will probably see him in Lithuanian national team with Jonas this summer.

JV's shot looks really nice. I see potential for a consistent mid range shot that'll keep defences honest.. just adding to his arsenal. He's going to be a dangerous C to play against for every team once he hits his stride.

Seibutis has 0.687 TS% in the Eurocup, how is he a chucker? We all want Jonas to get more touches, but lets keep it real. I dont mind him on National team, I just hope guys like Petravicius and Motiejunas gets cut, but I am going OT again.

I have an impression that you havent seen a single Rytas game. Otherwise you would not be saying such nonsense as Seibutis being a chucker. He is hands down second best player after Jonas in Rytas team and his shooting % is very high. Are you sure you are not mixing him with Rice?

Out of curiosity, does anyone know what JV's vertical and wingspan is?

Wingspan is between 7'4" and 7'5" which is absolutely great! As far as Vert goes I'm unsure. Low 30's?

Here is what I found but it's from 2010 though.

Standing 6-6 ½ when he arrived in Vilnius in February of 2007, Valanciunas has grown at least four inches since (I'm now 210 centimeters [almost 6-11] without shoes,” he informed us) and has slowly grown into his excellent frame. He's retained all of the quickness he had earlier on in his career and still sports a mammoth 7-6 wingspan, (again according to him.)

“I have very long arms,” Valanciunas says modestly, with a smile. “It helps a lot.”

If he's about 6'11 WITHOUT shoes a year ago... that's a 7 footer, folks! :D

I've read both 7'4 and 7'6 for his wingspan, though 7'4 was an earlier measurement when he also measured in at 6'11, I believe he's a legit 7 footer now so 7'6 may be accurate as well. Based on the highlights from his current season, it seems reasonable.
