Almost have to at this point. Its really the only real chance the Magic have at keeping Dwight. Bringing in Monta and SJax would be a very good get for the team. I don't believe Jax has completely fallen off, I think Skiles is a hard ass and doesn't like him so he's not going to play him. I think he'll be a great teammate here and a lineup of Monta/JJ/Jax/Baby/Dwight wouldn't be any worse then what the team currently has. This also atleast gives the Magic a shot at keeping Dwight, which is the ultimate goal.

This.

Monta > Nelson at point guard.
JJ/Wafer might be > J-Rich/JJ.
Getting Lee might be > Anderson come playoff time.

Are you saying there are talks about GS shedding Lee's contract on us?

David Lee and his $68,737,680 owned till 2015/2016, this guy is allergic to playing defense, he has only put numbers on bad teams( NYK and Golden State)
Smart / Micic / D. Wright
Wiggins / Exum / J. Adams
Parker / K. Anderson / Mcdermott
Randle / Vonleh / Stokes
Embiid / Nurkic/ Tavares

He'd be part of a package. Regardless of if he is or not:

Hoping a package with Ellis gets Howard>giving Ellis to Magic for package of Magic players that don't make the team better

I doubt they think they can actually get Dwight. Probably just trying to raise the value for Ellis...

Warriors aren't trying to shed Lee's contract. Management loves the guy

GS schedule coming up to the trade deadline is pretty tough as well

@Washington (2nd game of b2b)
vs Memphis
vs Dallas
@LAClippers
@Sac
vsBoston

That's no cakewalk for that team and could be beneficial to the Magic. I'd guess they go 1-5 in that stretch effectively knocking them out of this so called 'playoff race' they claim to be in.

If there was a way we can Blatche and S Jax without trading any of our key players, that'd make our team alot tougher.

He's a black hole on offense, selfish, and plays no D. You don't just add just because.

we can also engage the Kings about Jason Thompson and send him to GS in a 3-team trade.

Still won't give Ellis away imo. When they fall out of the "playoff hunt," management will still think it's for lack of a big and just try to grab one in the summer with the cap room

He's never been on a good team, so, how do you know if he'll drop off if he joined us?

NW wrote:I'd be one of them. What I don't think Magic fans understand is the Warriors like Ellis and don't want to deal him unless it leads to a major upgrade at the Five (the team's biggest hole). Kaman isn't it and he's a FA anyway. The Warriors don't need bench help - outside of a better PG than Nate Robinson (as Curry's time out has made it clear how bad this team needs a decent PG). If you could get Bogut, that may do it.

What I don't get is why GS isn't afraid of losing Monta in free agency but would also only trade him for an all star. I just don't get how much value a non all star like Monta has to GSW fans. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not sure we have what you guys need (hence my hatred for Otis) but Monta's value to the GSW fans and owner is mind boggling.

Even if the Warriors don't want him, I'd like us to take him. I've been a big fan of Thompson since he's joined the league.
