Tyreke started to get going in the 3rd. We really should've kept going to him.

You continue to score. Stupid move taking Cisco and Hayes out. STUPID. Tyreke hit a tough shot but he entire offense after that was puny guard ball penetration when the other team packs the paint that the Kings have hung their hat on for too damn long now.

I hate it when Smart leaves the bench forever and brings in the starters WAY too late to make a difference. That really killed us early first part of the 4th quarter.

Didn't we sign Hayes originally to start with Cousins? I'm not saying to start him, but it's not a bad thing to keep him on the floor to finish the game with Cousins.

I don't remember the last time when both of those guys were on the floor the same time. There was a moment in the game when they showed Cousins & Hayes together near the sideline, I thought to myself "YES! Finally they are going to play together!" But I remember Thompson was on the line shooting FTs and it was Cousins going out for Hayes. My hopes dashed..

Here's the positive/negative about this bench vs. starters thing. The bench unit is being used as a motion team. The starters are being used as a pick and roll team. I mentioned this last game but any "smart" coach would combine the two into a duel layered identity. No team is just one type of team, and I've never seen a team that has two separate identities and style of play from starters to bench. I can only assume it's because IT WON'T MAKE YOU THE BEST TEAM YOU CAN BE. It also causes issues of, "do I play the bench or the starters?" One problem is your bench won't have the overall talent to compete with other teams every game. The other problem is your starting unit is still one dimensional. So freaking frustrating man! COMBINE THE TWO SMART! Play Cisco and Hayes with your starters.

It's just entered the point of retardation at the moment and I totally saw it coming, didn't want to believe it, but saw it coming. Hickson goes down and you would think that means, OK great, now Hayes gets all those minutes and by proxy will share time with Cuz and JT. Nope. Not much anyway. You've seen how much better Hayes is with Cousins and JT out there at the same time. The team goes from unable to rebound to respectable, from no post threat to legit, and so on. Just lame. It's like Westphal out there, just such a poor recognition of talent and ability, the only difference is at least Cousins, Thornton, and Evans are getting the minutes they deserve.

Honestly, Smart is a good guy. But he's really another Westphal with less wacky rotations/substitutions and more well liked with the players (i.e. Cousins). I hope Smart can learn from his mistakes. Smart isn't as stubborn like Westphal.

I like Smart and he's brought this team up from the toilet, but it's like dude, use your head.

Just want to clarify, sounded like I was saying for you to use your head, I was talking about Smart. :D

Huh, the last 3 games we lost by exactly 8 points per game. I wonder:

8 + 8 + 8 = 24

We must be worshiping Kobe. Darn it! That's a no no.

I just thought of something, and forgive me for thinking outside of the box here, but maybe Chuck Hayes isn't the key to winning every game in the NBA. Maybe he doesn't play because he doesn't earn his minutes and because he doesn't help the team more than he hurts it. To go out on even more of a limb, maybe one of the thirty people alive with an NBA head coaching position whose livelihood it is to watch game film and work with the Kings roster actually knows better.

Saracasm aside (though it was necessary because people are actually blaming this loss on Chuck Hayes' lack of playing time instead of things that are actually wrong with this team), we lost mainly because we shot 38%--something Chuck Hayes would have only exacerbated because his man can leave him and double--and because we couldn't guard anybody 1-5 in the fourth quarter--which includes guys Chuck Hayes couldn't have guarded. Not because Chuck Hayes of all people only played 10 minutes.

Smart is doing a good job with our roster. Maybe not the best possible job that anybody could do on the planet, but the finger isn't on him for things like Cousins' and Evans' shot selection, two primary contributors to the L tonight. We lack consistency and experience as well as depth to make up for both of those detriments, on both ends of the floor. We still have the youngest roster and lowest payroll in the league, and to be blunt, you get what you pay for. Salmons, Greene, and Outlaw make the worst SF rotation in the league.

Frustrating 4th quarter to watch. Our defensive rotations were just awful. Every shot the Suns were making in the 4th were WIDE open shots. Can't leave NBA players wide open from mid range that's automatic for most of them.

The same thing happened in the Clippers game where Bobby Simmons got off on us. It's not that hard when you just have to stand there and wait for the ball to come around because our D can't rotate.

The defense is consistently bad and the offense is too inconsistent to keep up with most teams. Even teams that aren't that good can easily break us down by running set plays.

Chuck Hayes played decent on the offensive side but we really need a 7 footer that defends the rim and plays strong defense besides Cousins.

I like Thompson but he should be coming off the bench and Hayes should be the 4th big. Let JJ Hickson walk.

And has anyone else noticed how well Marcus Thornton has been moving without the ball this season? He's often our most efficient offensive player when Cousins goes cold. Gotta love the way he's been playing.

Wait for it...wait for it....comment about Hayes' "so called passing ability" incoming....

Show daddy on the doll where Chuck Hayes touched you.
