I would, but I would love to somehow get Felton or Camby's expiring contract in there as well.

I like the idea of Wallace and Crawfish but I dont want Wallace playing the 4 on our team at his age and injury worries. It would be ideal to have him play the 3 where his D would help Anderson a bit.

I like Jax but not if it means playing that small of a lineup and without Jameer we will rely on Hedos ball handling and passing.

Crash/Hedo
Anderson/Crash

You could put Jax on the bench behind Wallace and J-Rich.

I would not do this trade for an aging Wallace and a career aging backup in Crawford.

LOL at some of you guys with these crazy trade ideas. First of all, Wallace is NOT a PF.

This is a typical Otis Smith trade of youth for older veterans.

Just hope for a nice easy win over the Raptors today and hope that the Warriors lose to the Wizards.

No one could lose to that team, even if they tried.

Josh Smith, David West, Elton Brand... Which one of these potential first round matchups is gonna light him up? The switches on that team would be insane..... And that "career backup" crawford killed us in the playoffs, what does that make our guards?

Exactly and just like in the off season, there won't be a lot of deals made because of the lockout. GMs are afraid of looking short-sighted. So the preference is to stay put.

yeah but staying put with this roster as is doesn't help things in the Dwight front but more importantly on the basketball court....Stan doesn't want to make tough decisions and make rotation changes so we should force him and make smaller trades to make us a better team but i digress...it isn't happening we're staying put.......on this Ellis thing the more i think about it the more i want to know what Golden State is smoking and where i can get it....IMO Ellis and Curry wouldn't be enough for Dwight and they're talking straight up? Crawford is never known to kill it every game over his 10 year career. He disappears more often than not. He only had good games against the Magic and Meer defending him. He sucks against bigger guards. Crawford is a shoot first SG more than an actual PG. Hence, he has been a 10 year backup PG.

I would rather keep Meer.

I like Wallace, but he has never been a PF. He used to get a bunch of boards, but has declined already since his Charlotte highlight days. I don't want another Lewis on this team.

I would rather keep Redick and Anderson.

In my opinion,

Redick >>> Jamal Crawford
Anderson >>> Wallace at this stage of his career.

A few years ago, it may have been the other way around.

Do you really want another JRich and Lewis on this team instead of improving youth?

This says we are looking at rolling the dice with a 10% chance at hoping he stays and preferring the 18mil in capspace as opposed to any of the deals out there. A plan I agree with, if you have any chance at keeping him you try and if you fail you get the 18 mil in capspace if he walks.

It also says the GS owner is bats*&t crazy and won't make a deal for anyone not named Dwight.

This could get crazy.

People probably read too much into things.

Magic inquired about Ellis and they said no thanks. Hence, we got a ton of Ellis rumors floating around.

It sure is quiet. That is because Otis is finding no way to IMPROVE the team, so the Magic will pass the trade deadline with most minimal of activity. Because, Dwight is going nowhere no matter how much people wish it.

^ The problem with Crawford is his inconsistency and Wallace at 31? is already very injury prone I would think the Por would maybe look at Hedo/Jameer/1st for Wallace/Felton seeing as they look like they are about to blow it up and Felton is seemingly played himself into the Nate doghouse

Sure, with Crawford in the starting lineup, Portland is tanking. Heck, they have a team with:

Camby
Wallace
Crawford
Aldridge

And are still stinking up the joint. Those guys are way overrated. If I was Portland, I would seek to trade them all except Aldridge. Even Batum. At least Wallace is better than Batum. Felton may be just a bit better than Duhon.

At this stage in their careers, Wallace is at least a legit starter, but not worth Ryno. Portland would jump all over a Ryno for Wallace trade hand over fist. Crawford is so overrated that he is finally getting a starting shot after 10 seasons and is now proving that a Shoot First PG is just not going to lead his team to win games.
