Question about JJ Hickson

Post#1 » by Lord Leoshes » Mon Mar 5, 2012 11:44 pm

Hello everyone, & good day. :)

I have a question about JJ Hickson.
During his time here playing for the Cav's, how would you rate/consider his impact to the game while exclusively playing at the Center position?
What was your opinion of him when he played at center?
Can he defend at that position well?
Would he be able to rebound adequately at C?

Thank you in advance for any help.

He's an undersized center; he was alright on the offensive end but was pushed around on the defensive end.

It wasn't apparent whether he was properly coached up to the C position or whether he was incapable of playing the position. He always appeared a second behind and more concerned about playing for his next contract (the reason he was shipped out).

My guess is that he doesn't do anything extremely well, and therefore would not succeed in the tweener center role.

He's a gifted athlete with awful hands and even worse bball IQ. He's Drew Gooden without the stupid rattail.

Hickson would be a lot better if he developed his jumper. He actually can drive to the basket pretty well when within 1 dribble range, using his athleticism to get around people and finish. He'd be great in pick and roll if he could catch the damn ball.

I don't think Hickson has the dedication or understanding of the game to harness his potential.
