Nothing more to say about this one other than more lottery balls.

Good riddance.

When was the last time JaVale McGee got an offensive rebound and willingly passed it back out?

I'll provide the answer in a second.

Must have been in college.

Where the hell did that go?

I don't get it. I've said it a thousand times on here. Don't give up on guys afer one year. One year full of no offseason, mini-camps, Vegas, etc. Mack has to reshape his body some and get a little sleeker. He's too stocky and slow to be a point. In college, he was more of a combo guard that could overpower small guys. He can't do that in this league. But he's a smart player. I think you don't give up on smart players who spent 3 or 4 years in college. Same with Singleton. Give him a chance to find an offensive game. He was basically a 4 in college. He's still getting used to the quickness.

I knew Singleton was a bad pick.

I wouldn't have been upset with Singleton and somebody else, like Faried or Brooks, even though I didn't like Singleton. The really dumb thing was to draft two guys at the same spot who have the same (non) skill sets.

faried is even more of the "same player" that vesely was than singleton. at least singleton was a through and through SF with a history of being able to hit the 3 at a battier level. faried measured out at 6'7 and shot 12 three's in 136 college games (making 3).

at the time i liked the singleton pick and hated the vesely pick. i would have been happy with faried also. however, i think you're (CCJ) being extremely unfair in crucifying singleton so harshly right now for not being able to hit a shot.

Wow this is going to be Biedrins' 5th straight game where he failed to score a single point.

The sad thing is that we suck but if we win one game I swear you would think we were the Lakers how these guys start acting, and how they show up for the next game. Our players suck but I swear you would think they were Kobe if they score 20 one game because the next game they are sure to come out gunning like they are unstoppable. How long does it take for these guys to get that they are not that good? Its just so annoying to watch. Need better coaching and more veets around Wall next year

Wait...I never said I was giving up on the kid. Just that he came into the league with questionable point guard skills and as a known scorer. Now, he can't even hit a mid-range jumper with any consistency whatsoever.

That's a fair observation. I watched him enough in college to know he can hit a mid-range jumpshot even though his bread and butter was overpowering players and driving it inside.

For his college career Singleton averaged 10 ppg shooting 42%. I think there was definitely cause for concern that he would struggle to score in the pros.

Does this kid have a clue?

That is just a bad analogy, pancakes. Faried is twice the rebounder of any of those guys and a far more effective finisher than either player. Faried will grab 12 rebounds in the same time Booker grabs 8.

To say a player who shattered Tim Duncan's rebound record is the same kind of player Vesely is is absurd. When Vesely was balling with James Gist, and not putting up better numbers than Gist many nights, Faried was outplaying big name players. Destroyed Parsons and Macklin at Florida and had Donovan say he's the best player in the country. Outplayed or played the Morris twins, Aldrich, Cousins and Orton. Won an NCAA game with a block.

To say Faried was the same as Vesely is what Ernie Grunfeld was thinking and why he never picks players who are studs. Same dude could have had Seth Curry but he preferred to waste the pick for a one-year rental of Mike Miller and Randy Foye (who anybody should have known before the draft is not as good as Seth Curry).

pancakes, I'm not mad at you. I'm really frustrated with Crawford jacking up my fantasy team and with the Wizards sucking. I'm really frustrated with knowing players this team could have had for years; only to see it suck.

Hindsight only makes me feel worse, because Singleton and Vesely are exactly what I thought they were. In retrospect, so are Young and McGee. We knew those guys were not sharp or defensive-oriented.

Sorry for the rant. The Wizards can really get to you if you forget they suck and take it in stride.

worst loss of the season to a team playing on a back to back night on an east coast trip that has a woeful record.

The team Ernie put together is pure trash. He needs to be fired. The drafting of Vesley despite the the REALGM Board warning him is inexcusable. He has no idea about how to find the right pieces to build a team. He just drafts projects and hope they pan out. CCJ is right...Vesely and Singeleton have the same skill set. None.

Wasted draft picks...bad free agent signings(really Mason?)..where is alonzo Gee?

John Wall needs better talent around him or he is gone. This is unacceptable. This idiot needs to be fired. He has damaged this franchise 184% more than Flip.

Ted Leonsis is the worst owner in pro sports right now

Jan Vesely IIRC shot sub .500 FT in Euroleague play.

I actually dont think thats what happened. I think NY thought he was hot and he was actually telling JV to come set a pick for him but JV went to the post. NY is dumb but not that dumb. JV has single handily given away 3 threee pointers when we were trying to make a mini run

I'm not actually happy with this at all.

We might be in a few games while he's "on", but it's completely pointless because he's a streak shooter who means practically nothing to this team or its future plans.

We'll just have the pleasure of watching Nick iso and heave up a handful of shots at the expense of ball movement and an actual offense.

Nick Young always gets hot when it's too late... All of a sudden he starts making shots and the game is out of reach. Weird pattern lol

I blame wall for one of those. He's always impatiently calling for the ball to start the break, regardless of the defensive pressure in the passing lanes.

Ball movement and actual offense? Are you sure you are not thinking of a different team?
