"Rip2137"
But I wasn't saying that it was Lee that shut him down. I am saying that because he is anything but controlled in his around the basket shooting, it doesn't matter who is guarding him.

He is inconsistant because of his offensive flaws, not because of how he was being defended.

?? One of his flaws is going right...Vs Collison and Ibaka he was able to blow by them right and spin back when they recovered for layups. Sometimes he clearly cant get past people... see Scalabrine, see Gasol. see Lee. Lee was

Those horrible looking layup attempts he was making against Milwalkee were the ones he missed against Golden State.

No. Smith took 7 shots inside the paint the whole game. And one of those shots was an offensive putback. So thats really 6 shots in the paint vs the Warriors. He was struggling to get by Lee and settled for a lot of jumpers.

Sometimes he cant get a step on his defender. Sometimes he doesnt get good separation for his hook shot when backing down and starts facing up.

Last GSW games we played had Radmanovic + Lou Amundson at PF. And Lee at center, the 1st game. 2nd game he missed I think.

Joe wasn't struggling. he never helps rebound. A opposing guard took advantage of that(and i am SHOCKED that more teams don't. He literally NEVER helps rebound and yet is never up court in transition either...I am not really sure what Joe does when a shot goes up.

1) Joe was struggling (to score) on McGuire.
2) Dominic McGuire is not a guard.
3) With Marvin's abilities on offense most teams do stick a forward on Johnson. Grant Hill, Iguodala, Batum...

Valid point on Marvin not making life easy for Joe. Joe will likely always draw the better perimeter defender, but Marvin has to make the other team pay for that and he rarely does. Against Philadelphia they were defending him with Jody Meeks. We should have continued to feed Marvin until foul trouble forced them to change their game plan. In two games against them Marvin shot a total of 2 free throws in spite of having the option to post someone 6 inches shorter than him.
