I didn't, but just checked, May 1, 1983, so almost 29. Still got a 4 year contract in him.

He's only got a few more Barcelona contracts left in him. I wonder why they never sign him for a longer time period, it's usually 1 or 2 years. Is that normal in the Europe leagues?

People have pined for the old heart and hustle days

Deng, Noah, Gibson, Asik would bring that kinda play back to Orlando. Not saying I am a huge fan of this deal, but its better then nothing.

Gibson has to be on his way to Orlando in a Dwight trade to Chicago.

Almost impossible, but Orlando getting 7th/8th seed and facing Chicago in the 1st round and somehow eliminating the Bulls with Howard on the Bulls would probably be the coolest thing ever.

The coolest thing ever would be Our Magic winning the title.

Yes, without a doubt. I've been waiting 22 years for one. A little bit of the dark side surfacing in me.

If Orlando's new GM is able to dump major salary (J Rich, BBD, let Nelson and JJ expire in 2013) and amass draft picks I'd be ok with building that way

Dwight and Hedo for Deng, Noah, Korver and Watson?

Great. The Magic can hand the Bulls the next 10 championships while they go through 3-4 45-win seasons before accepting the inevitable ie. rebuild.

Pull the trigger Otis.

Do you guys think it would be possible to get Jennings from the bucks? If we got Jennings/SJax would it be enough to get Howard to opt in 1year. BJenn was already talking of bigger things, how many years he have left on his deal?

Bulls could throw in Nikola Mirotic in the deal, but that likely would eliminate Gibson being apart of the deal. Plus there's talk Mirotic could stay overseas with Real Madrid if Bulls trade him because he was only in 2011 draft because the Bulls guaranteed to draft him & he really wanted Chicago. Him staying overseas if he's moved is a unconfirmed report though. It's just something that I heard though. He is a very talented player though, & Bulls are expecting big things out of him, but I'm sure Bulls could talk to Magic about him as well, but Mirotic's planning on being in Chicago in the next year in a half.

Not really believing the CHI rumor tbh (Same "John" who falsely predicted 1-2 Magic-Bulls trades?...). That's some hella tight lips for such a big deal with an outside scout in the know. Also, no real picks, more cap hell, two good guys who already seem at their ceiling- Asik, Gib. Only nice thing is Noah and the workman attitudes these players tend to bring. Still see NJ and LA above.

Deng/Noah/Asik/Taj/CJ/Picks

For

Howard/Turk/BBD/Duhon ????

I'd do it. Then maybe a Jameer/Asik for Monta deal as well.

Monta/CJ
JRich/JJ
Deng/Wafer
Ryan/Taj
Noah/FA

Well, look at it this way, at least the heat, lakers and the nets wouldn't be winning it

Not saying I completely disagree, but as far as the "complete rebuild" thing goes, how many of the past 10 champions drafted their star player? half maybe? You CAN build a team without completely blowing it up and winning the lottery and getting the first pick

Bulls would probably give the Magic whatever they want (outside Rose)if Howard had them on hist and take on Hedo & Duhon. Since they aren't its a moot point. I am not sure Howard would like the very cold weather there and seeing Rose be in the spotlight through out his career (even though they are like brothers according to both athletes and Adidas said they have no problem with them in once city either.) over him.

You can turn around and trade Deng for Ellis if you wanted since reportedly that's one guy the Warriors would trade Ellis for.
